My car, along with at least thirty other vehicles, was completely locked inside this garage overnight because they closed at midnight. Their excuse? A tiny, practically invisible sign that patrons are somehow supposed to spot. There is absolutely NO clear signage at the entry arm where you actually pull in. If a garage closes and traps your property inside, that needs to be displayed in massive, bold letters right where you pay or enter, not hidden away. To make matters worse: Zero Emergency Contact Numbers: There was absolutely no way to reach anyone to get our vehicles out. We were completely stranded. Massive Extra Expenses: Because my car was held hostage, I was forced to pay out-of-pocket for a hotel room for the night and barely made my flight the next morning. Honestly, with the sheer volume of people trapped in the exact same situation, this feels less like an oversight and more like a predatory money-making scheme to rack up overnight fees. Avoid this garage at all costs unless you want to risk being stranded in San Francisco without your car. Hearst Parking needs to fix their signage at the entrance immediately. Absolutely unacceptable.
