  As another customer noted, the vehicle and people were fine, but the shady return policy on gas is unacceptable. I was told the vehicle was 5/8s full when I rented it, and I should return it the same. The digital readout indeed was around 5/8s, and when I returned it I made sure it was the same, only to discover later that I was charged for a gallon of gas at an exorbitant rate because the return agent was able to connect to the car via his computer and read the exact amount of gas in the tank, which was around 0.7 gallons less than when I rented it. I didn't even realize it until later when I looked at the receipt more closely. Further, when I called to arrange a pick up from a nearby location I was informed that since I had taken their offer to do an online check-in already, they were not able to pick me up, because the car was already checked in. Enterprise asked me to do the online check-in as a convenience to them so their employees didn't have to do it when I arrive; of course I had no idea this meant I would not be able to arrange a pick-up any more or I wouldn't have done it. One of the main reasons I chose Enterprise was the pick-up option, so... Finally, in the Bay Area there are many toll bridges, and not only have they raised the tolls significantly but they've also eliminated the toll booths, which means they read your license plate and charge you automatically and you can't just pay them directly any more. Enterprise of course receives this charge and passes it on to you — with a large mark-up. Luckily we only had one toll but if you are driving around the Bay Area you could be charged a quite significant surcharge.

  Hello, I need to rent a car for one day, picking it up in the morning and returning it by midnight on the same day. Is it definitely possible to return the vehicle when the office is closed? Is there an extra fee for this?

  Was at this location on July 30th. Staff was very friendly, did a good job explaining the coverage available, and getting me out the door.

  Excellent service when picking up and dropping off our rental vehicle. The car was gorgeous, new. It was so easy to modify our reservation when our flight was delayed 5 hours.

  Excellent staff, but most specifically— Enterprise does not use those AI cameras to find (read: invent from thin air) damage on your car upon its return. Those systems are untrustworthy. I will not do business with a rental company that uses them. Also, Enterprise is simple to use and its employees polite and pleasant. But mostly it’s the no AI that wins me over.
