  I discovered that a very large screw was lodged in one of the tires just two hours after starting my trip from SFO. I contacted Alamo, and they quickly arranged an emergency vehicle replacement. When I arrived at the airport, the entire process was handled with exceptional professionalism and kindness. What impressed me the most was how everyone genuinely put the customer first and worked hard to resolve what could have been a very stressful situation. A special thank you to Lauren at the SFO airport location and Emergency team. Your outstanding customer service, compassion, and efficiency turned a frustrating experience into a positive one. I truly appreciate everything you did to help me. Thank you, Lauren, and thank you, Alamo, for taking such great care of your customers.

  It started when I preloaded my license etc. information, allowing us to bypass the long line at the counter - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT! We walked right to the lot and the whole departure process took less than five minutes. When we showed up the individual who guided us to our minivan made sure we selected the one with the lowest mileage. He then clearly described how to easily return the vehicle. When we did, the rep who checked us in was pleasant and took the time to explain how to meet my wife who was picking me up (near the Kiss and Fly SFO location downstairs :-) ). I chose Alamo because they had the lowest rate this trip, I will definitely consider Alamo first going forward!

  I was hit by Alamo employee at a red light. He was coming at least 45 miles per hour at a red light on left lane turns left with no blinkers. I can hear tires squeaking and he took off. It's clearly hit and run. I followed him with my emergency lights on. There was nowhere to go because it was one way and we end up at rental car gate. Funny part is I was Driving an Almo rental car :) He lied to insurance and said he did not proceed through the red light. His manager was there at the gate and was aware of the situation. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is located at 780 South Airport Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94128 (Rental car center) I will not trust a single employee at Alamo at that location. As I will NEVER rent a car from Alamo until I die.

  I was about to leave a poor rating because I was mistakenly charged for additional insurance coverages that I verbally declined, but the contract said I accepted. But Alamo rep was very helpful and was able to refund that amount right away, so I was very pleased with my experience. The only negative thing was about the car specifically - Chevy Equinox. It had controls (including shifting to/from Reverse/Drive/Park) that were very difficult to figure out. Eventually got it, but I'm glad it didn't rain during my rental because those controls were also very confusing.

  I cannot recommend Alamo at SFO airport highly enough especially Danny at the check in counter and Tim assisting with getting the vehicle. When my travel plans hit a major snag due to some last minute changes with my conference, Sam at the toll free customer service stepped up and turned a highly stressful situation into a breeze. They professionally, patiently provided the assurance to ensure I got a reliable vehicle and treated me with so much genuine kindness. MR DANNY humored us while processing our rental documents, MR TIM surpassed all expectations, when he saw my wife with a cane he immediately advised us that he would get the rental vehicle so that we didn’t have to walk far (a warm gesture he didn’t have to do), he refused the tip we tried to give him and said that’s the least he could do for us. Exceptional and exemplary customer service like this is incredibly rare—thank you for going so far ABOVE AND BEYOND. To those reading this post, If you need a rental, look no further than ALAMO SFO AIRPORT.
