  Very dissatisfied with my experience with Alamo. The pre-rental inspection was conducted in a dark garage, making it extremely difficult to properly see or document any existing damage before we took possession of the vehicle. We were later accused of causing damage that, based on the circumstances, I believe was already present before we received the car. We did not have an accident, hit another vehicle, or cause any damage to the car during our rental. Unfortunately, we were given a vehicle with pre-existing damage and are now being asked to pay for repairs that we did not cause. To make matters worse, the vehicle also had low tire pressure, which was a serious safety concern and could have put our lives at risk. It is extremely frustrating to do everything right as a customer and still be held responsible for something you did not do. Alamo should take responsibility for properly inspecting and documenting vehicles before handing them over to customers. My advice to anyone renting from Alamo: carefully inspect and photograph every part of the vehicle before leaving the rental facility, especially if the inspection is done in poor lighting. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Alamo. I hope the company reviews how these inspections are being handled and treats customers more fairly.

  We arrived on Monday at 10 a.m., a time when we would expect the customer service desk to be fully staffed. However, only one service position was operating, which resulted in a 50-minute wait. To make matters worse, when we were finally assisted, the car wasn’t ready. After already waiting 50 minutes in line, we had to wait even longer for the vehicle to be prepared. Overall, the experience was extremely inefficient and well below the level of service we would expect from a professional car rental company.

  The single worst car rental experience I have ever had. Made a reservation online, pickup here and return to LAX. Received confirmation email with return location stated here in SF. Called them - they said they'll be able to change the return location on the spot. Came here, waited 2 hours while a single employee serves a line of 20 people (without any hurry, obviously). Our turn came and she tried to upcharge us $300 to change the location, so we left. Avoid these scammers, remember that there is a lot of alternative vendors nearby including Hertz and Sixt. I will never do business with Alamo again as I am not a fan of getting extorted on the grounds of a software bug.
