I got my oil changed at this Valvoline and it was a seamless and easy experience. The staff here made an errand that has been pestering my to-do list into something so easy and stress-free. The staff were knowledgeable, really positive, and kind. I have to give a shoutout to Jocelyn who was the sweetest ever!! Damien the manager was also so nice. Thanks guys.

Honestly I pop by different valvolines including El Cajon, la mesa, spring valley and tall are by far the most consistent. Hence, in my humble opinion, the best out of the above mentioned. Quality service Friendly Miguel was good help Provided recommendations in a way that I was able to understand (I’m just a girl). They went above and beyond for not just my vehicle but for the other 2 vehicles they were servicing at the same time (yes I was eavesdropping). Dalton was friendly and efficient. And they provided quick servicing! Couldn’t have asked for anything else during my service. Thanks to all! Even those who don’t interact with us bc they’re “bottom side” (Jordan).

I have been consistently coming here for an oil change because their quick service, I never have to wait too long when all I need is a simple oil change. Unfortunately I had a tire pressure light come on and I figured I would ask them to check and fill my tires and turn off the pressure light as well as get an oil change. I asked if they could do it first and they said yes. Needless to say they couldn’t turn it off but they rushed me through, though there was nobody behind me waiting. Upsold me on a gas cleaner, which I said I would take with me because my gas was full and it’s not recommended on a full tank. I googled when gas cleaner when got home and it said it’s not needed or recommended for my car. I thought refund was an easy fix since I didn’t use it. Nope! They had me leave a customer review and that’s about it. They lost a customer for lying about being able to take care of the tire pressure and a $16 gas cleaner. I’m so glad I didn’t let them dump it in my tank!

Went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation at this Valvoline location. During the service, the technicians damaged my wheel while reinstalling it and stripped a lug nut/stud in the process. An employee informed me of the damage and told me they would order the part and contact me when it arrived to repair it. After more than a week with no follow-up, I called the store myself. The manager, Javier, told me they do not perform repairs and that I would need to take the vehicle elsewhere, pay out of pocket, and seek reimbursement. This directly contradicted what I was originally told when I left the shop. Because I rely on my vehicle for work and have a demanding schedule, it took some time to arrange a repair. During that time, I received calls from both customer service and Javier asking whether I had completed the repair, but there was still no clear guidance or accountability for the damage. When I finally spoke with Javier about the situation, his tone was dismissive and unprofessional. He was sarcastic, did not take responsibility for the conflicting information I had been given, and at one point laughed during the conversation when I questioned the repair cost dispute. He also refused to escalate the issue or connect me with his area manager. I eventually took my 2016 Volkswagen Beetle to a certified repair shop. They determined the damage was not a simple lug nut issue as initially suggested, but required replacement of the wheel hub bearing assembly. The repair cost was approximately $700. They also noted my vehicle was extremely low on oil despite having an oil change at Valvoline less than 3,000 miles prior. After submitting my invoice for reimbursement, I was told the claim would be reviewed. I was later informed Valvoline would not reimburse the full amount because the repair had not been pre-approved. However, I was never given a spending limit, required authorization process, or approved vendor list, and was specifically told I could take the car anywhere for repair. In the end, I am out hundreds of dollars due to damage caused during a routine service, along with significant time spent chasing communication and resolution that never came. The lack of accountability, conflicting information, and unprofessional handling of the issue by management made this experience extremely frustrating. I would strongly caution others about this location based on how this situation was handled.
