  I arrived to have a oil change for my vehicle. Casey was my oil technician. She was very professional and knowledgeable, while she was attempting to scan to retrieve my vin and vehicle information, Casey was struggling with her scanner and requested for another scan gun. Her manager Terrell was led over and abruptly in a rude tone exclaiming "it is right there!" (while pointing on the side of the mobile computer unit). At that moment, I explained to Casey that I thought that was really rude of your co-worker to use that time with her. She agreed and apologized that happened. Fast forward and wrapping up with the oil change, her manager it seemed that I thought was just a normal co-worker that was rude to Casey initially returned, became dismissve and using a dominant tone. I only heard small phases of "this is wrong!" and you "are not listening!" I immediately corrected the manager Mr. Terrell that he does not need to be speaking to his staff in that manner, and if corrective feedback is warranted that he should had at least waited for me as the customer to leave then at the proper time to provide that feedback for that moment. He then dismissed my response. He added, I am her manager, and I was providing her how to do her job! I responded. I don't care if you are a manager. You have no business speaking to your staff like that, especially in front of a customer. Then, responded can I finish your system oil change feedback? I responded no. This type of action from a manager should not be in any work place. Has a manager, he should not be rude to his staff. This needs to be documented, and this manager needs to return to school for leadership 101. Best, James Shen BS

  Second visit, first time with this car. Ismael, CJ, and Jessiah did an excellent job—quick service, clear explanations, and no pressure to buy anything extra. They even showed me my filter and answered my questions . Very smooth and pleasant experience. I’ll be returning.

  The technicians were thorough, fast and efficient. Really appreciate the free inspection which included lights, tires, filters, etc.. I have been bringing my cars to Valvoline for years and I've always been very satisfied with thier work.

  Extremely disappointing experience. I came in for a simple oil change using my own oil and filter. After they completed the oil change, my car suddenly would not start. They were unable to get it running and eventually physically pushed my car out of the service bay into a parking spot, leaving me to arrange a tow to a local mechanic. My mechanic inspected the vehicle and found that the starter cable was unplugged. This was documented by the mechanic. What should have been a routine oil change turned into 3–4 hours of wasted time, a tow, a mechanic visit, and approximately $350 in avoidable expenses. What made the experience even worse was the manager's response afterward. Rather than taking my concerns seriously, he was very dismissive and simply stated that it wasn't them. I have documentation from the mechanic showing what was found and have submitted a formal claim. I chose this location partly because of the positive ratings, but my experience was completely different. Don't let the ratings fool you. A basic oil change should not end with your car being pushed out of the bay, towed to another shop, and hundreds of dollars out of pocket. I hope Valvoline rectifies this situation appropriately, because this was an entirely unacceptable experience.
