  Came to Valvoline in desperate need of getting my car serviced. My last experience was at a different location and I left with not the best feeling. I’m glad I gave this location a try. I was instantly met with great vibes from Ezzie. He helped me out and let me know what I did and didn’t need. Carlo worked on my car with speed and efficiency. I would highly recommend this location!

  Since my tech specifically asked for a review I’ll give it to him, Eli, attempted to use scare tactics on me to purchase a new battery for my car. I politely told him no, as I carry a portable battery jumper on me and also have roadside assistance if I were to need a jump. He proceeded to then tell the team “get the jumper ready” while the other techs asked why. He was again trying to get me to buy a new battery threatening that my car would not start to leave from my oil change. I took my car to an auto parts store to have my battery independently tested and was told my battery passed and that I did not need to replace it. SHOCKER. I am giving 2 stars because the oil change outside of the pushy tactics was fast and easy despite it being fairly busy. Would I recommend going here, sure, just say no to anything outside of the oil change. Do it yourself, or actually have a trusted person look at your vehicle.

  Always have a great experience at Valvoline at any location I go to. Quick service, love that they can just reuse my info from my last visit so I don’t have to remember anything. They offer additional services but are never annoying or pushy. They email coupons regularly and which is always nice. They even offered my dog a treat. Thank you to Andrew, Luis and Mike for a great experience in Point Loma.

  I came in to get an oil change and was upsold on a rear diff fluid change. I figured why not, they were helpful. Turns out they didn't use an additive that my car needed and even after bringing it back after hearing noises they confirmed that everything was done correctly. I had to bring my car into a mechanic and get everything flushed and cleaned costing 3x as much as the service I wasn't even going to get in the first place. The staff was kind and quick, but until I get a refund for that service, just the rear diff not even the oil change, I don't recommend bringing your car here.

  The young lady Irene was very pleasant and that was a shock to me being back in California. I am born and raised in Long Beach and I come back yearly to Ocean Beach to bring my Grandkids to the beach, since we don’t have a beach in Colorado. I do appreciate the attention to detail and how awesome the team is there. Amazing service and team. When we come back next year for our vacation, I will definitely come back for my oil change. The only thing I would say negatively is the price(150.00) but this is California. Regardless, I will pay that because your team there is the best. Irene, Eramis and James. Thank you. See you all next June.
