  I have to give a 10 stars to Karli. This morning we walking in and from the moment she saw us, she welcomed us with such a smile that made us feel good. The way she explained everything and listened to all our questions was exceptional. I highly recommend this company, their cars are clean and in such an outstanding condition. Thank you Karli from the bottom of our hearts. You really know the meaning of a good customer service.

  We got a Ford Bronco for our rental car from Sixt. It was truly the BEST rental car we've ever had for so many reasons. It was a very attractive car. Connectivity with Nav and music was very quick and easy. Seat adjusted just right for me to be able to see the road. I am very short, so this is usually a problem with rental cars for me. Lots of cargo space. All accessories were easy to understand and use. It was very similar to my Honda as far as accessories. We might buy a Bronco now! Also, the experience with Sixt was perfect from beginning to end. Would like to give a shoutout to an employee for going over and above to save us money when we forgot to refill the tank before returning the car. She literally got in the car with us to navigate us out of the rental car area (and then we dropped her off before leaving the area), we went and refilled the tank, and came back. Her willingness to help us saved us $100 in additional fees!! That is the kind of service that brings customers back. Wish I knew her name. Also, I love the SIXT branding! Very cool!

  Rental agreement San Diego International Airport Four issues on a single rental, all documented: 1. Waited two hours at pickup because the vehicle wasn’t ready — it was still being washed. 2. Handed over dirty anyway. When I raised it, the staff member handling the vehicle told me cleaning cars wasn’t his job and that I could do it myself. I did. 3. Mileage. I was verbally told at the counter that the vehicle came with unlimited miles. The contract I received afterwards said 700 miles, at $0.50 per extra mile. I never received a corrected contract before leaving — the one emailed to me was for a different car I had already declined. 4. A $500 “one-way prohibited” penalty (about $550 with tax) charged at return, despite having been sold and charged a supplement at pickup precisely to return the vehicle in Phoenix, Las Vegas or Los Angeles. Staff at the return branch told me these penalties are applied case by case depending on demand — anywhere from nothing to $1,200 for the same route. I refused to sign for the penalty and filed a formal dispute. Everything is documented with photos and paperwork. Advice to anyone renting here: photograph the vehicle before you leave, get your contract in hand before driving off, and check every line at return. That’s where the surprises come from. Be extremely careful with the charges at this branch. I was sold a one-way return at pickup and paid a supplement for it — then charged a separate $500 penalty (about $550 with tax) at drop-off for that same one-way. You end up paying twice. Read everything before you sign.

  Guy checking in the car is running a scam. Phone died and couldn’t access the vehicle information report and said I damage the car and kept escalating the issue. My guess is he was looking for a cut to keep his mouth shut. Finally got back home and checked the vehicle report and it mention the damage! I wanted to speak to management so they could keep an eye on this matter, and they refuse to call me back. Beware got to a major rental place!!

  Hands down the most efficient and pleasant car rental experience I've had in years. I usually have to take deep breaths and prepare myself for a long wait, hard upsell, and basic cars when arriving at an airport car rental desk. This experience could not have been more different. I swear it's because this is a European company and they still care about consumers unlike most American based companies. The employees here were smiling, seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs, and got me out the door/into my car within minutes. They upgraded me into a nice, new Countryman. It really set the tone for the rest of my trip. I will never rent from another company while in SD again!
