  No surprise that San Diego has no shortage of beautiful waterfront destinations, but a marina or resort is only ever as good as the people representing it on the ground. While broader management may be lacking in integrity or good judgment, and resort standards at Sunroad have visibly shifted over time—a sad sentiment shared across local boating and professional communities—Sarah Diaz remains the absolute gold standard of operational care and hospitality. Having engaged in San Diego's maritime community for a few years, it is not hard to see why Sarah should be considered the single-handed the reason people feel welcomed, valued, and looked after—whether as a customer, guest, or just inquiring, you get the same level of professionalism. She possesses a true care for her work, genuine empathy, and a grounding presence that keeps day-to-day operations running despite some obvious leadership gaps. Sarah is, without question, the heart and soul of the Sunroad office. She is an asset to the marina and a true pleasure to work with in any capacity.
