  I have been shopping for a new EV for months now at various luxury Brands and various dealerships across San Diego County, and this was by far the most straight forward, comfortable, and enjoyable negotiation my wife and I have had with anyone. My wife and I had pre-determined what the deal should look like down to the dollar as we went in to close. Our experience at other dealerships was that we would come to terms, and then when they show you the financing plan somehow the payment would jump a couple hundred dollars because of the dealer markups. Well, nothing of the sort happened here. They brought us out the finance offer and it matched ours down to the dollar. No hidden costs, no bs. I didn't know how how to react! 😂. I couldn't believe that for the first time a dealership wasn't trying to sneak in some kind of "key fob insurance" or "ceramic coating protection" that added a couple of grand to the cost of the car (I'm looking at you Mercedes, Audi, BMW). Our sales Agent Alexis was a delight from the start. It took 2 visits and both went fantastic. She was very accommodating and easy going. The sales manager, Sam, was nothing but class. When Alexis said he wanted to come over to say hello, he literally did just that. he politely introduced himself, said he was there to answer any questions, shook our hand and let us be. Didn't do the typical hard sell and script rehearsal to not let us walk out the door without signing something that sales managers typically do. So it was all truly a breath of fresh air. We absolutely love our car, the 2027 electric Gv60. And they made us a very thoughtful custom gift to go with it. I would highly recommend both this brand and specifically this dealership (I have bought a Genesis from a different dealership in Orange county and spoken with most of them across Southern California... They are not the same). Genesis of San Diego have made huge fans of us and have earned loyal customers.

  Had a great experience with Genesis of San Diego. Sam was the main person I worked with and he was honestly just really easy to deal with. Communication was simple, he was transparent with the numbers, explained everything clearly, and I never felt like I was getting pushed into anything or getting the usual dealership runaround. I already loved the GV70 itself. The car looks great, drives really nice, and just feels like a lot of car for the money. Sam also explained the standard Genesis warranty and ownership benefits to me, which I honestly didn’t realize were that good. Knowing you have the 5 year / 60,000 mile new vehicle warranty, 10 year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, 3 years of complimentary maintenance, and valet service just gives you a little more peace of mind on top of already loving the car. Stephen was great too. He helped with the video, paperwork, and getting everything ready ahead of time so pickup was smooth. I ended up driving down from Orange County because I was tired of all the back and forth with other dealerships. These guys were just easy from the beginning, and that made a big difference for me. Really appreciate Sam and Stephen. I’d definitely work with them again.

  Huge shoutout to Alexis. She made this the easiest car deal I’ve ever had. She kept me posted on if the cars I had in mind have got sold or if new cars have arrived. The one we decided on was a recommendation from Alexis. Super easy to communicate with even with time zone differences with my co signer. Big thanks to Andy as well for explaining all the financials and benefits included with our chosen coverage plan. Best dealership experience I’ve had. Highly recommend!

  I would give this service center negative stars if I could. They told me that my key could not be programmed and there was no choice but for me to order a new key, which cost nearly $1000. Then they told me that key could not be programmed either, because it was a problem with the car, but still made me pay for the key. A. mobile locksmith programmed both the old key (which worked fine) and the new key (which I never needed) in about five minutes. There were other issues as well, that was just the most egregious. I spoke to the Service Manager, who said he would call me back, but never did. I am hoping this review gets someone’s attention so they call me back, as my repeated phone calls do not seem to be doing that!

  I bought a new 2026 Genesis from the Kearny Mesa Location. Stephen Hickey was the salesman. He was very nice and respectful. He didn’t pressure me in sales like most salesmen do. Stephen went above and beyond to answer my questions and kept in contact with me over the two week process, while I shopped other brands. He spent time to show me the particulars of my new car, plus helped set-up my phone to the car. He also checked in days later after the purchase to make sure I was still satisfied with the car. It’s been a week of me having my new car, I’m loving it! I highly recommend going to this location. Stephen is your go to salesmen!
