  I use Enterprise a few times a year and have done so for the past several years and normally without any issues. But this time, and only because they sent me a link to complete this review, I will gladly report that it was a mess in so many ways. First off, I walked in the Balboa Ave San Diego location witha last minute need due to car trouble (6/29/26) and ask for a Premium SUV. Tall, thin, balding white guy said none were available. I asked if he could check nearby locations, he said nobody had any due to the holiday weekend. I walk outside, pull up Enterprise phone number, call and make a reservation for a Premium SUV at the SD airport in two minutes. Drive to airport location, provide license and major credit card. Guy asks if I have proof that I live where I live. I said, the address on my driver's license isn't proof enough?? Apparently it wasn't. I said I have used Enterprise tons of times but now I need to show proof of address? Weird. Anyhow, I use my phone to find a utility bill then he says nevermind. Ok. I leave with the vehicle and remember that I didn't tell the guy my husband would be driving so I call Enterprise 800 number and ask the representative. She says I have to physically walk into an Enterprise location with my husband to add him. So I go home, pick up my husband and drive back to the Balboa location since its closest to my house. Same guy that blew me off earlier says he doesn't have access to "their system" so he would have to send an email. Other guy overhears and says he can do for him.......asks our relationship, I say "spouse." He says oh you dont have to do anything, spouses ok to drive. We leave. What a waste of time. JEEP wagoneer was great though. My daughter left her sunglasses in the 3rd row seat cupholder though. Tried to call on 6/30 the very next morning after I returned the car late on 6/29. Couldn't get in touch with anyone to grab them. Filed online lost and found claim. Of course I received an email saying the sunglasses cant be found.

  I would offer 10 *'s if it was available. On a day that had to be unusually extremely busy on the front of the NASCAR Race the Base weekend, I was met with no lines and all smiles once I reached the Enterprise counter. Check-in was incredibly smooth with along with some friendly conversation and inquiries as to my plans during my stay. Once I made my way up the escalator, I was immediately met by yet another smiling face and a happy "welcome to San Diego" by Mia. She led my wife and I to a selection of vehicles, again with cordial conversation about our stay in sunny San Diego. She quickly did what she needed to do on her end and then provided us directions on exiting and return and stood by for any questions we may have had. Then upon exiting the parking area, another smiling young man asked how the entire process had gone and wished us a safe and happy visit. As mentioned, this was a particularly busy event weekend for the city and I fully expected to be a minimum of an hour fighting crowds of people, but Enterprise had me checked in and leaving in a vehicle in less than a total of 10 minutes!! Absolutely superb experience and would most highly recommend to anyone heading to San Diego Airport.

  I have been an Enterprise Club member for many years and have always found their staff to be knowledgeable, courteous, and extremely helpful regardless where I maybe renting one of their well maintained, immaculate cleaned vehicles. The company and more importantly their staff have fine tuned the task of renting a vehicle into a stress free and smooth encounter. This can be really important for someone who has spend many hours flying and dealing with airports who is ready for a stress free encounter. As always my recent rental from the Enterprise facilities at the San Diego Airport was an efficient and stress free process that had me on the road to my next destination smoothly and quickly. Thank you to all the members of that excellent team!

  I've rented from this Enterprise location at least 5 times that I can recall (probably more). I'm there about 4 to 6 times a year for quick day-trips in the city where I fly in and out the same day. I almost always rent in the luxury segment because of the amount of time I'll spend in traffic and appreciate the options they have. It's fair to say that after working with a few different agencies, I prefer Enterprise specifically because of this San Diego location -- they have an excellent selection, they're fast, friendly and go the extra mile to help out. If I rent a dud or something isn't working correctly, they've gone out of their way to make things right without me ever asking or expecting it -- I've noticed that not just here but other locations. That's all I really ask of a rental car company: I try to be a fair person and absolutely reasonable and the staff at Enterprise almost always meets me half-way so because of that, I'll prioritize them.

  I can’t say enough good things about Enterprise car rental and the outstanding customer service we received during our recent trip to Southern California. We rented a vehicle from the San Diego Airport location and were staying with family in Menifee. Two days into our rental, we discovered that the vehicle had an oil leak. Since it was a Sunday, we were concerned about how much time it would take to resolve the issue and whether it would disrupt our plans. Using the text support option Enterprise had provided, we contacted customer service and explained the situation. They immediately offered to exchange the vehicle, but returning to the San Diego Airport location would have taken several hours on a busy weekend. The alternative location at Ontario Airport was also quite a distance away. Understanding our situation and the inconvenience involved, they arranged for us to exchange the vehicle the following day at the Lake Elsinore location, which was much more convenient. The vehicle exchange went smoothly, and when it came time to return our rental, Jesus at the San Diego Airport location went above and beyond. I explained the disruption the situation had caused and mentioned that I had been told through the text support service that we would receive a one-day discount. Jesus listened carefully, showed genuine concern, and ultimately reimbursed us for two days of the rental to make up for the inconvenience of losing part of a day and having to exchange vehicles. What could have turned into a very frustrating experience was handled professionally, efficiently, and with exceptional customer care from start to finish. Enterprise made it possible for us to continue our trip with minimal disruption, and their willingness to work with us demonstrated a true commitment to customer satisfaction. Thank you to the Enterprise team, especially Jesus and the customer support representatives who helped coordinate everything. Your outstanding service turned a potentially negative situation into a positive one, and it is greatly appreciated.
