  The 5 stars are specifically for my guy Jose! He’s the older gentleman with the gray beard, and he is extremely customer service oriented. He always takes the time to step outside and look at your vehicle to make sure you’re getting the correct item and not purchasing something you don’t need. Jose went above and beyond to help me with my online battery purchase and even made time to replace the battery in my vehicle. He also made sure I knew that I could get my $22 refund for turning in my old battery, which I really appreciated. There was also a tall, younger gentleman with long hair down to his shoulders who I saw helping another customer parked next to me. From what I saw and heard, he was also providing excellent customer service. These two gentlemen are great examples of what good customer service should look like. They were helpful, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely willing to go the extra mile to help customers. Jose and the other gentleman deserve recognition for their outstanding customer service.

  My car's battery was probably going to explode or catch fire but Autozone person told me battery was ok after doing his tests! Big Safety Hazard!! This morning I took my car to Autozone on Mira Mesa Blvd. and Black Mtn Rd., to get the battery checked since my car was having some issues with starting. The person at Autozone performed his tests and told me that the battery was ok. He advised me to take the car to dealer/mechanic for further diagnosis of possible issues with starter. I took the car to my mechanic (about 4-5 miles away) and by that time the battery was found to be fuming (white gaseous substance) and very hot. It was swollen too (found later after the battery was taken out). I was told by my mechanic that the battery was in a dangerous condition of catching fire or exploding. It was very scary to come to know that. It is very disappointing and concerning that the person at Autozone was not able to detect the dangerous condition of the battery just a few minutes earlier.

  The employees are not attentive to customers. They see that you are waiting to be helped, but instead of assisting you, they stand around talking to each other. I waited about 10 minutes at one of the registers and no one came to help me. In the end, I had to leave without being able to make my purchase. The customer service definitely needs improvement.

  Jacob was exrrmely helpful, patient and professional. He spent the time needed to get the taillight off and replace a burned out bulb. His knowledge and experience were key and his customer service skills are top notch!!
