  Even though gas prices are high, the vehicle was not wasting that much gas with all the miles put on it. The guy at the counter was pretty fast and thorough. Great Customer Service.

  It was the worst experience we had in a car rental. The team in Sacramento airport branch was rude, and asked us for personal information that violates our privacy. They failed to show a relevant policy written, and said that it's not written in the website as it's a local policy. In addition, the car wasn't fully fueled, and so the rep said that we can return the car half full. Unfortunately, when we returned the car, they charged us for the missing half tank, although it was written that we need to return it only with half a tank.

  If you have any difficulties with your vehicle (flat tire, engine, trouble, etc.) be prepared to be the one responsible to go get a replacement vehicle. Don’t rely on Alamo to come to you. I had a flat tire after only a few miles and had to drive out of my way to get a replacement rather than Alamo bringing one to me. Not happy.

  Upon return of our premium vehicle, we were erroneously charged $75 for a “missing child seat,” which was clearly returned without issue with our vehicle. I even verbally confirmed with the Alamo attendant that the seat was returned in perfect condition. I was also charged an additional $68 labelled as “miscellaneous”, a separate subsequent charge on the invoice. Upon questioning, the pertinence was not explained, just “a separate charge”. I tried numerous occasions (4) reporting either via phone and online Customer Service, and was told “we have submitted this for review” and to “wait a day or so for response.” It has been 3 weeks now without response. I would avoid renting a car with Sacramento Alamo, and unfortunately Alamo has lost a loyal customer of almost a decade in myself as well.

  We rented a car from Alamo this past weekend. The car, the checkout process - everything was just fine. What really impressed us, though, was the treatment we got when returning our car. The employee who greeted us - Shafiq - was so kind and friendly. He not only checked in on how our experience had been, but upon hearing how hard it had been for us to find our way around the airport, helped us get from the car rental return to the airport so quickly. After a very fast, very short trip (to visit a friend in hospice) his kindness meant a lot. I have never written a review for a car rental company but this one definitely warranted it, and the next time I need to rent a car, I will absolutely return to Alamo. Thank you so very much!
