  Terrible customer service. The employee claimed to speak Spanish but refused to communicate in it and acted irritated. --- On July 25, 2026, I visited the AutoZone on 47th St. East and experienced the worst customer service I have ever encountered from the employee, Haro. I was accompanied by my father, who is elderly and primarily a Spanish speaker. We went in to purchase antifreeze and two filters for his car. At the beginning of the interaction, we asked the employee assisting us if she could communicate in Spanish. She confirmed that she could. However, once my father began explaining the specific items he needed, she continued speaking in English despite his clear difficulty understanding her. This made the interaction uncomfortable and unproductive, especially given that purchasing car specific items requires accurate communication and my father is the expert on his own vehicle. Had the employee simply stated that she was not comfortable speaking Spanish, we could have used another method to communicate. Instead, the conversation became increasingly frustrating. The employee’s tone grew aggravated, and she repeatedly sighed and displayed visible impatience. Because we were unable to confirm the correct items, we ultimately decided to leave and order the parts online rather than continue dealing with her behavior. When we informed her that we would not be purchasing anything, she turned to a coworker and made an unprofessional remark: “After all that hard work and they’re not even going to buy anything.” We responded that we would not purchase items we did not need (We only purchased the air filter). At the end of the interaction, she directed a dismissive “Bye, bye!” toward us in a rude tone. This experience has severely damaged my trust in AutoZone. The employee’s conduct was unprofessional, disrespectful, and appeared to take advantage of an elderly customer who was simply trying to communicate in his primary language. Throughout the entire interaction, she was trying to upsell us items that we did not need and continued to be aggressive in her manner of speaking to my father. I feel it is necessary to report this behavior so that no other customer has to experience such treatment.

  The store manager Annita was so helpful and really made up for the bad experience I had the day prior. Her hard work and kindness did not go unnoticed!
