  After eight years as a loyal National Car Rental customer and Executive status holder, I have never experienced treatment as humiliating and disrespectful as what occurred at the Palm Springs location. The manager accused me of vandalizing a vehicle—something I did not do—without providing any evidence. He then demanded that I leave my luggage behind, which was inappropriate, degrading, and completely unacceptable. Based on how I was singled out, spoken to, and treated, I genuinely believe I was racially profiled and discriminated against. Executive status should never determine whether someone receives basic dignity, but my eight-year history with National and clean customer record make this treatment even more disturbing. I then had to drive the damaged vehicle from Palm Springs to Phoenix. Thankfully, the staff at the Phoenix location were exceptional. They went out of their way to ensure I was safe, treated me with dignity and respect, and placed me in an appropriate replacement vehicle. The Phoenix team deserves recognition for making my safety their priority and demonstrating the level of professionalism I previously expected from National. I am requesting that National’s corporate office formally investigate the Palm Springs incident, preserve and review all available surveillance footage and records, and examine the manager’s conduct. No customer should be publicly embarrassed, accused without evidence, pressured to leave personal belongings behind, or made to feel that their race influenced how they were treated. I expect a written response and meaningful corrective action.

  Great service from Palm Springs. Much better service than the Cleveland Airport by FAR. They could learn something from this branch.

  The National team at Palm Springs Int’l Airport is exceptional. Dylan at check‑in was personable and helpful, and Sabdi and the drop‑off team were equally great. I didn’t get the name of the woman assisting at drop‑off, but she was excellent as well. For a small airport, PSP has an outstanding National team.

  I really enjoyed my experience with National, the check in experience was seamless and very welcoming. The manager who checked us in was very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed the car selection and when we returned the car Daniel was very kind with offering any assistance we needed. Appreciated him asking how our trip was, navigating where the terminal entrance was and addressing any concerns.
