This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a rental car company. I was sent to this Alamo location by Alamo Customer Service after the oil change warning light came on in my rental car. I had rented the vehicle for two weeks (Los Angeles Airport), and after only five days I was already dealing with an oil change issue that should have been addressed before the vehicle was given to me. The most frustrating part is that I was approximately 40 minutes away from this location, and Customer Service specifically instructed me to drive there because they told me the issue would be resolved at the airport location. They could have at least checked the availability of suitable replacement vehicles before sending me there, instead of having me drive 40 minutes for nothing at 20 p.m. When I arrived, I spoke with a manager who was extremely rude, dismissive and unhelpful. (I'm pretty sure his name was Robert) His attitude and responses made an already stressful situation significantly worse instead of helping to resolve it. I had specifically rented and paid for a Mid-Size SUV, but I was told that no suitable SUV was available and that the only replacement option was a smaller vehicle. This was not an acceptable solution, especially considering that I had paid for a larger vehicle and had too much luggage to fit comfortably in the smaller one. The manager's amusing, and completely inappropriate, response was: “Well, I can't turn into a car; if that doesn't suit you, there's nothing I can do about it.” I then asked for help finding a place where I could have the oil changed, but I was simply told that it had to be done somewhere that worked with Alamo, without being given any information about where I could actually go. The manager's second pearl of wisdom was: “We're not a repair shop—I can't help you change the oil, and I don't know where you can get it changed.” I left the location without a solution and without meaningful assistance, despite having driven 40 minutes there specifically because Alamo Customer Service told me by phone this was where my problem would be resolved. I then spent hours contacting Customer Service and waiting for an escalation to management, only to eventually be told that no manager was available and that I could arrange the oil change myself at a nearby location the next day. The following morning, I had to spend another two hours of my trip dealing with the issue and pay for the oil change myself. As of today, I'm still waiting for the reimbursement I'm owed for paying for the oil change out of my own pocket, and the Los Angeles office stopped responding to my emails a month ago—but that's another story, which I'll leave for the review of the other office... Problems with a vehicle can happen. What matters is how a company responds when they do. In this case, the response was extremely poor: I was sent 40 minutes out of my way without the availability of a suitable vehicle being checked, received an unhelpful and rude response from management, and was ultimately left to solve the problem myself. This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this location if you expect professional and helpful customer service when something goes wrong.

I was entirely satisfied with the experience that I had with Alamo rental cars. I was able to pick it up a few minutes early and that was convenient. And I was able to adjust the seat and all of the components to suit my body. The GPS was great for us traveling in the areas that we didn’t no. The car roads really well nice. The trip of north was pleasant. The traffic wasn’t bad all the way or returning. So I was overall a pleasant trip. The attendant at the drop off, was very respectful both the young man were helpful. I’m both ladies at the counter or pleasant and helpful. I asked for a printout and she accommodated me.
