I just got my oil changed today and they did alright. What I want to talk about is my second to last visit back in July of this year, just 3 months ago. I had gone in for an oil change and inspection and a week later, my tires popped on the freeway. It created a huge safety issue, I was lucky to get the roadside service that I got while my phone was overheating in the heat waiting for help around 6:30pm, all while tire shops were close to closing too for the night (they close around 7pm most shops). I had to debate with my insurance and they told me it would be a hour and half minimum before someone could get me, but thankfully I got helped by a passerby roadside service in riverside county (the county pays for free roadside service). I got lucky bc of the passerby roadside service who came to save the day barely on time for me to get a tire to go home, but it could’ve been a way worse and riskier end of the night as i barely escaped waiting for help for hours and into the night. This could have been avoided had jiffy lube on vineyard in Ontario had inspected the threads of my tires when I went in. Typically what they do when they check tires is they will fill it w air, but they don’t check the threads unless you specify and ask them to do so (I’m learning). For a place that offers tires I’m surprised they don’t check the threading automatically when they inspect the tires for air pressure. I know that they consider selling tires as upselling bc I spoke with the manager, but it’s actually a security concept to do so and they should see it as so too. It would look more professional and as if they are looking out for the entirety of the car and client if they inspected the threads of tires during their service. That’s my only complaint - that they don’t inspect the threads unless you ask them to. If the team needs training to do so - do it. It will improve the locations reputation and lead to safer driving situations for the clients. Honestly, if there was a shop closer to me I would go but they are closest to me which is why I still go and their service is ok. They did make a change to their service where they ask you during appointment/walk in to scan a QR code and fill out a form of what services you want , so I guess they are trying to protect their backs with that, but that wasn’t there before so they can’t blame me for not inspecting my tires threads back in July. That is all.

They did fine on the service itself. Was quick and they were polite. When I went to pay the invoice wasn’t clear on the breakdown. I asked where ann unaccounted $5 went to and he said, “I don’t know why they charge like that”. It was only a few bucks and I didn’t have it in me to push it so I I just paid the full amount of $20 so I could leave.

the guys are nice but it seems they started some new pointless form to get your service. i was greeted with being forced to click stuff on their site and the site isnt even user friendly. people come here cause they dont know about cars so i obviously dont know which oil i need. without looking i left the most expensive option but didnt even submit the stuff yet cause i had questions while doing this in the lobby. i was waiting for someone to come in to help me and not til they came in to charge me 165 for an oil change (criminal) did i know that just cause i left the option IT CHOSE THAT OIL FOR ME to move forward with. that make 0 sense. how is something that isn't even submitted going to be picked already? STUPID. i explained all this to the man and he was nice and gave me 25 off but what happened to just asking? why go through a computer system. seriously. never going to any jiffy lube again.

Was sold a battery that gave out in a few months, then I was told it was a bad battery after it died several more times after that. It was then it was replaced only to die a few days later. After finally taking my vehicle to the dealer, I was told it was the wrong battery and advised that the battery was never registered to the car even after I verified with the staff at Jeffy Lube that a battery registration was needed. They told me during the first visit that it was not needed and all would be fine. That eventually caused the cars computer to malfunction ultimately causing further battery issues. I would love my money back!!
