Check yelp reviews also so you’re not in my shoes …..The worst you can possibly go to. I had them replaced my transmission for $8000 a month ago and I’ve had nothing but issues since then and they keep giving me the runaround but they were able to take my $8000 right away Dalton and Josh keep giving me the run around with no help now I’m out $8000 with them with a truck that does not run correctly and they will not do anything to help me they took my money messed my truck up and sent me on my way now who knows if they will even warranty the transmission if it goes out if i’m able to even get it running. I may have to trade in my truck in that I’ve spent so much money on after trusting this shop to touch my vehicle. Please read the The reviews on the shop before you go there and get Work. I am not the only person who’s had this issue. I should’ve paid attention to the reviews….. The things they are saying I got done at another shop that is on the Carfax says it was done at their shop. I even told their GM why are you guys saying that you did things on Carfax that you didn’t perform? Why was my intake sensor changed and not charged, but it’s on my Carfax. Are you guys making fraudulent claims to Carfax? If you only did the transmission, why was my intake sensor replaced and yet you didn’t tell me what did you break to have to replace that? You’re saying the only work you did was on the transmission here’s a Carfax from your shop that says you changed some sensors but didn’t charge me didn’t tell me, but you put it on my Carfax so why was that changed but yet you didn’t do anything but the transmission so who’s lying here you guys or me with all the proof of my Carfax and everything you guys have done why would you change my intake temp sensor that is nowhere near the transmission for the job I paid for on top of that. You didn’t even tell me you were gonna change it. You try to say that I did it at another shop. It says it was done at your shop your own tech put it there so if you didn’t do it is that a fraudulent claim to Carfax? But only changed the transmission that’s all you did what do these show do I need to show more facts I’ve kept records of everything no reprogramming no sensor changes nothing but the transmission right ? WHY WOULD A BRAND NEW TRANSMISSION NEED TO BE SERVICED THOUGHT IT WAS NEW ?? Why would something that calculates air temperature have to do with the transmission. Why would you guys change that out? Why would you take parts out of a car without telling a customer and then blame them when their vehicle doesn’t work? Maybe this is the reason why I’m having idle issues loss of power, but you only touched the transmission…..

I brought my wife’s 2021 Kia Telluride (80k miles) to West Automotive for a routine transmission drain and fill. What followed was one of the most frustrating auto repair experiences I’ve had in 20+ years of car ownership. Hidden Evaluation Fee: I was not informed upfront that the “Certi-Care Transmission Evaluation” fee would not be credited toward the cost of the service I was having performed. In my experience across many shops over two decades, evaluation fees are routinely credited when work is done. This was not disclosed before I approved the service — I only found out at pickup. I’ve since seen other reviewers here report the exact same surprise. Post-Service Performance Got Worse: After the drain and fill, the car shifted significantly rougher across all gears — worse than when I brought it in. Before the service, the concern was isolated to shifts between 3rd and 4th. This is an objective, verifiable change in vehicle behavior following their work. Fluid Level Check Procedure: The 2021 Kia Telluride has a specific OEM procedure for verifying transmission fluid level — it requires the fluid to be checked at a precise operating temperature range with the fill plug removed to confirm proper flow. This is not a standard check. When I raised concerns about whether this procedure was followed correctly, the shop said levels were fine, but agreed to re-inspect — only after informing me I would be charged another $160 evaluation fee if “nothing was wrong.” That approach puts the financial risk entirely on the customer when the issue may have been caused by the service itself. Outcome After Second Visit: After the re-inspection, the car drove completely normally. Smooth shifts across all gears. The issue resolved itself after the second visit — strongly suggesting something was corrected, even if the shop didn’t acknowledge it. Upsell Concerns: During the inspection they flagged my transmission as needing replacement — offering a $5,000 used option or a $9,000 remanufactured option. The transmission is now shifting smoothly with no intervention beyond their second look. Service Advisor Response: When I called Josh afterward to express my frustration, he acknowledged my concerns but took no action to make it right. I don’t write reviews lightly. I’m not disputing that their team is technically capable or that the inspection was thorough. But transparency, communication, and standing behind your work matter — and on all three counts, this experience fell short
