I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my experience with Alvaro, who identified himself as the manager at your location.
Alvaro called me to ask if I could move my appointment to an earlier time because the technician would not be able to complete the work on my vehicle by 5:00 PM and needed to clock out on time. I asked a very reasonable question: if the work could not be completed by 5:00 PM, why was I given a 3:30 PM appointment in the first place?
Alvaro responded that he did not know because he was “not a scheduler.” He then proceeded to tell me, in a very rude and dismissive manner, that I could still come to my appointment, but the work would not be completed and I would have to bring my vehicle back another day. The reason given was essentially that he wanted to leave by 5:00 PM because it was Friday.
I asked to speak with a supervisor, at which point he told me that he was the manager.
As a manager myself of two dental practices, I understand the importance of customer service, accountability, communication, and making sure appointments are properly scheduled based on the time needed to complete the service. This is not how I would expect a manager to handle a customer or represent a business.
Ultimately, I had to contact my insurance company myself and have them locate and send me to another location because your location could not honor the appointment that had been scheduled for me.
I strongly encourage your company to review this situation and reconsider whether Alvaro is the appropriate person to be representing your business in a management position. Promoting someone to a management role who handles customers in this manner can ultimately hurt the business and drive customers elsewhere — which is exactly what happened in my case.
I am not upset that an appointment needed to be adjusted; I am upset by the way the situation was handled. Scheduling an appointment at 3:30 PM and then telling a customer that the job cannot be completed because an employee needs to leave at 5:00 PM should never have happened in the first place. The dismissive and rude communication afterward only made the situation worse.
I hope management takes this complaint seriously and uses it as an opportunity to address both the scheduling issue and the way customers are being treated.

Germain did a great job repairing a rear window on my RAV4 after it was broken into. He arrived at my home within the hour time frame I was provided, and he was communicative and kind. He even did his best to gently nudge my window frame back into place where it had been wedged with a screwdriver; I appreciated the extra effort. The window looks great, and the car was spotless and glass free afterwards. Highly recommend!

From start ( making appointment) to finish I was treated with kindness and respect. My technician Mr Jose called a half hour before my appointment stating that he would be there within a half hour and he was.. Jose was very good in explaining the process of the job. How long it would take. Cleaned up all the glass and left my car very clean inside and out . I felt as though I just had it professionally cleaned. Not a smudge on the glass inside and outside..Just very kind and respectful. As a woman… that goes a long way. Over all A +++

I waited an entire week for my appointment, which was scheduled for Saturday with an arrival window between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
At 8:00 AM, I received a call from the technician stating that he did not have my window on his truck and that he needed to drive all the way to the Union City warehouse to pick it up. He called me back at approximately 12:00 PM and told me that the warehouse did not know where my window was.
I am extremely upset and frustrated with this situation. It appears that whoever originally placed the order failed to follow up and confirm that the window was available and ready for installation. The dispatcher also failed to follow up or verify that the technician had the correct window before sending him to my home.
When I asked the technician for a supervisor’s name and phone number, he was unwilling to provide that information. The phone number he eventually gave me was not answered.
This reflects extremely poor communication and poor customer service. At least three people appear to have dropped the ball—the person who placed the order, the dispatcher, and the technician/field team. I wasted my entire Saturday morning waiting for an appointment that should have been properly prepared in advance.
Appointment and fee obtained easily on the website. Availability of multiple locations added to convenience. The Oakland facility is nice and comfortable . The technician was very nice and forthcoming in disclosing limitations of the task since the damage is a starburst crack on the windshield, supposedly the most difficult crack to repair. Im thankful that the repair was successful. The whole process took 40- 50 minutes. Easy peasy and highly recommended, especially for Tesla owners as Tesla service center would often want to replace the whole windshield for 10 times the repair cost at Safelite.
