I bought a travel trailer November 2025. I’m 21 so I don’t have much credit history, my grandma offered to co-sign. We picked the trailer and then began the process of applying for a loan. Unfortunately even with a co-signer I didn’t get approved and the sales rep said the only way to get it was to have my grandma the main person on the loan, so we denied and left the building. As we walked out the door the manger actually ran after us and asked what had happen. Then he told us he can try and actually directly reach out to the loan company’s to try for me to get approval and he will call and let us know an update. Well a few hours later he called me and told me that I got approved. When we went back the next day he said the interest rate was 11% but if we bought a 5 year warranty for $3,000 they would lower my rate to 6.99%. So I did. Well almost a year later I called the credit union which is Alliant and I couldn’t authorize anything on my account. Come to find out the loan is actually in my grandmas name. Trailer is in my grandmas name. Alliant credit union does not offer rates over 7.74%. The credit union apologized to me on behalf of camping world and mentioned this is common for them to lie. We were extremely clear that we did not want my grandma the main holder of the loan. So much so THAT WE TRIED TO LEAVE THE BUILDING WHEN THEY SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY OPTION! But they did it anyway 👎

I have purchased two RVs from Camping World in Newhall and have had a very good experience with the Sales Department. The sales staff were helpful, professional, and made the purchasing process a positive experience.
Unfortunately, my experience with the Financing Department was very different. I felt pressured to purchase additional warranty coverage and add-on products, which made the financing process unnecessarily stressful. After the purchase, I decided I wanted to cancel the optional warranty coverage. I have made multiple calls and have been told several times that someone would call me back, but I have yet to receive a response or resolution.
It is very disappointing to have had such a positive experience with Sales, only to receive such poor follow-up from the Financing Department. When a customer makes a clear request to cancel an optional product, I believe the request should be acknowledged and handled promptly.
I hope Camping World will take this feedback seriously and improve communication and follow-up within the Financing Department. Customers should feel supported after the sale, not left frustrated trying to get a simple cancellation processed.
I saw a motorhome on Camping World Newhalls website. I called to confirm it was still available. I was told it was available by a salesman named Barrett. I drove to see it and not only was I told the motorhome I was there to see wasn’t there, they told me Barrett didn’t even work in the Newhall store, they said he worked in a store in Arizona. I said I called this store an hour prior and Barrett answered the phone, they said the Arizona store answer all the calls. Why would a company have a store in another state answer the phone for a store in Newhall?

A Wonderful Experience at Camping World! Five stars definitely!
We recently purchased & brought home our trailer from Camping World and had such a great experience from start to finish!
Our salesperson, Jeff, was absolutely fantastic. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was taken care of. He even came in on his day off to make sure everything went smoothly when we picked up our trailer. That kind of dedication really stood out to us! Bonus points for being a Dodger fan & sharing his fishing tips!
Juan, our mechanic who gave us the walkthrough, was incredible. He clearly knew what he was talking about and took the time to show us how to use everything and answer all of our questions. We left feeling much more confident about our new trailer!
Joe handled our paperwork and was also great. He made sure all of our questions were answered and helped make the process as smooth as possible.
Chris, the manager, who went above and beyond by including an additional warranty for us. We really appreciated that!
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better team. Jeff, Juan, Joe, and Chris made what could have been an overwhelming process easy and enjoyable. We are so happy with our purchase and would definitely recommend this Camping World team to anyone looking for a trailer!

$500 to find and tighten a loose wire - that’s what service costs at Camping World.
I bought both of my campers from Camping World, first a bumper-pull and later a fifth wheel. This was my first experience with their service department, and unfortunately, it will be my last experience with Camping World.
I brought my fifth wheel to the Newhall location for multiple issues. One was the leveling system. I was charged to fix it and told it was resolved. It wasn’t. I returned within five days with the exact same issue and was charged again for essentially the same repair. If you charge someone to fix a problem and tell them it’s fixed, how do you justify charging them again when they return days later because it wasn’t?
Separately, several outlets weren’t getting power, and I was charged $500 just to find and tighten a loose wire. $500 for that. Only Camping World could turn such a simple fix into a $500 bill.
The communication and attitude from the service department were equally frustrating. Clear explanations were hard to get, and I was left with the impression that the priority was what could be billed rather than what needed to be fixed.
I also paid significantly for an extended warranty, yet the answer to most issues seemed to be “the warranty won’t pay.” I have no evidence of anything improper, but the way this was handled certainly makes you wonder whether pursuing the warranty is simply less attractive than billing the customer directly.
And then there was my service representative, whose consistently dry and dismissive communication made an already frustrating experience even worse. She showed little effort to understand my concerns or improve the situation and always gave me the feeling that I'm bothering her.
I've heard the horror stories about Camping World for years. Now I understand why.
I gave Camping World my business twice when buying my campers. After this experience, they have permanently lost me as a customer, for buying, servicing, or anything else.
No more Camping World for me. My advice? Run for the woods, and take your RV with you.
