  I almost had a horrible experience, (no) thanks to the older Filipino guy that was too lazy to find my battery. I have a MB C300 he insisted that the battery is in my trunk, not believing that it's under my hood, under the plastic covering that he just tried to remove, still saying it's in the trunk! And because my trunk had boxes in the way, he didn't want to help me any further, acting like I expected him to clear out my trunk so that he can get the battery specs. I insisted that my battery is under the hood, but he just waved me away! So I stayed in the parking lot calling other places, made an appointment elsewhere, just to have them install the battery that I buy from here. No problem! I didn't want him to help me anymore, I lost confidence in his ability to provide decent customer service at that point! I go back inside to buy a new battery, where someone else helped me (thank goodness) and was asked some questions but I didn't know the answers. That person was about to go outside to look at my battery for the answers but then the non-helpful old Filipino guy snarkily shouted that my battery is in the trunk, and my trunk is full and can't see it; I interrupted and said it is NOT in the trunk. The guy then asked his other co-worker if the battery is in the front or back since he has a MB also. And that's when Ulyces, (I know I'm spelling it wrong, sorry), saved the day! Ulyces not only went out of his way to confirm the location of my battery (under the hood!), he tested it and then installed it for me, getting me to work on time and saving me from going to that another place to do what he just did! He was very polite, helpful, knowledgeable, patient and overall very nice. It's very hard to receive superior customer service today and Ulyces provided just that! I was so grateful that I wanted to give him a tip, but he didn't accept. I know he was just "doing his job" but so was the old Filipino guy! I'm glad that there are still some people that believe in providing good customer service and even happier when they go beyond expectations. Thank you very much for being there, Ulyces! Your co-workers could learn alot from you! You will go far, young man!

  My mom's truck battery died in the parking lot adjacent to this Auto Zone. Manager Abdul was great with helping us! He went the extra mile and came with us to the truck next to McDonalds parking lot to fix the problem, and took out the old battery and replaced with the new one we purchased. Thank you!!!

  As a commercial customer who relies on this closest location for my mobile mechanic business, I’ve had two bad experiences here with two different employees. Recently, when returning an OBD2 scanner bought at the San Jose store (with receipt), one employee was aggressive, falsely claimed I was banned, and escalated by telling me “we can take this outside” and walking out to confront me. The district manager confirmed no ban existed and the return was processed. Today, a different employee refused to charge my battery and accused me of theft. When I pointed out I’ve been shopping at this store for months without any issues — even in his presence — he couldn’t even remember when this supposed theft incident happened. He based it solely on the security scanners beeping. These scanners regularly go off on legitimate barcode items (it happened when I entered with the new OBD2 box earlier). This pattern of hostility and baseless accusations is unacceptable. I’ve contacted corporate and expect it to be addressed so I can continue shopping here without harassment.

  This place sucks. I waked in and 3 people just walked around me and acted as I’m invisible. I walked out and call in and was put on hold stating that they’re with the customer. lol
