I have been a paying subscription member at Quick Quack in Moreno Valley off Day Street and Gateway - this is the location in WinCo and across from Costco for over a year, and unfortunately this location has become a profound disappointment.
My biggest issue is not simply company policy—it is the complete lack of consistency, professionalism, and accountability at this location.
One of the most frustrating ongoing issues is the inconsistent enforcement of their truck-bed policy. Sometimes employees insist that anything in the bed of a truck must be removed before entering the wash. Other times, nothing is mentioned and customers are waved through. That inconsistency alone suggests poor training and unclear operational standards.
More concerning, this is now the second time an employee has reached into my truck bed and removed my bungee cargo net without asking for my permission. Let me be clear: if something needs to be removed, I have no issue removing it myself. What I absolutely do have an issue with is an employee handling my personal property without my consent. If damage had occurred to my vehicle or belongings, who would have been responsible?
To make matters worse, the wash was started before the situation was fully resolved, resulting in water spraying into the inside of my truck and getting me wet.
After this incident, I attempted to escalate the issue to management using the store leader contact information provided by staff, only to discover the phone number was inactive. That is unacceptable.
This reflects a much larger issue at this Moreno Valley location. In my experience, they are frequently late opening despite advertised 7:00 AM hours, staff often appear poorly trained when handling customer concerns, and there seems to be no consistent standard for service or accountability.
For the price customers pay for a monthly membership, the level of service here is disappointing.
UPDATE:
After posting this review, Quick Quack responded by pointing to their posted policy regarding items in truck beds. However, that response completely missed the point.
My concern was never just the policy itself. My concern is the inconsistent enforcement of that policy, the fact that employees are handling customer property without consent, and the lack of accessible store leadership when issues arise.
I also contacted customer service directly. Rather than answering my questions about liability, employee conduct, or management availability, I was simply offered one free month of service.
While I appreciate the gesture, a free month does not resolve the underlying concerns. It felt more like an attempt to quiet the complaint than to genuinely address the issues raised.
