Toyota Marina Del Rey is my favorite place for servicing my Camry. My personal service advisor Alex is so professional and reliable. Thank you Alex for your service.
This is easily one of the most expensive places to service your car. Their pricing feels inflated, and their marketing tactics don’t inspire much confidence. They advertise “15% off” services, but the discount isn’t clearly explained—and even with it, the final cost is still well above typical market rates.
During my visit, I was presented with about $2,100 in recommended services that didn’t seem necessary. Someone without much car knowledge could easily feel pressured into approving that work, when in my case, all I needed was a basic oil change.
They also charge a 3% surcharge for using a credit card, which adds to the already high cost. I was offered a $15 gift card, and when I asked to actually receive it to offset some of that surcharge, the staff seemed annoyed and said it would be mailed instead. Based on other reviews, I’m not confident that will happen.
To be fair, I don’t believe any unauthorized work was performed. However, the overall experience felt overpriced and unnecessarily upsold compared to other shops where you can get the same quality of service for much less.

Last time they said they would mail it to me. They never did, even after I called a month later. Same thing this time - we'll mail it to you. I'll update the review if they do but I'm not holding my breath. I'll probably just go to Jiffy Lube next time.

RUN, DON'T WALK! Horrible experience! They were so rude, controlling and demeaning to me, and would NOT give me my own car keys back without forcing me to sign papers, that I did not understand but they said waived their liability. I had to call the police to get them to give me MY car keys, even after paying.
They could not legally hold my car from me, yet they did. :( I was so shaken up by this, I could NOT believe they would treat someone like this. Such a power trip... The experince was so traumatizing that I now drive 45 minutes to get all my serivce, when I only ever used the Toytoa dealership the entire life of my car. NEVER AGAIN. This place is 5 minutes from me and I will NOT go back.

Marina Del Rey Toyota always provides excellent and efficient service each time I take my vehicle in for service. Right on schedule each time, I’m greeted by a service assistant, often Moises, who begins the check-in process. A service advisor, recently Ivan, welcomes me and reviews the work to be done. He quickly advises the mechanics and technicians. The mechanics and technicians complete the work efficiently and correctly - on time. A very favorable experience for me each time.
