In 1986, dad purchased the Chevron station near the corner of Yosemite Ave. and Union Rd. here in Manteca and placed me as the station's general manager. This station had 3 service bays and two technicians performing a wide array of general automotive services. After a few years of operating the two businesses separately, we consolidated our entire repair operations into one shop. Eventually, dad retired and I became the general manager and owner of then called Phillips Auto Care today known as Sunshine Auto Care Inc., we're committed to excellence, high standards of honesty, and integrity. I've always been proud of my “automotive heritage” growing up in a family of gearheads. I guess that's why I'm still here, 40 years and still counting.
