    I wanted to like Sixt but upon returning our car they tried to blame us for curb rash on a wheel that we did not cause. We noticed it there at pickup and they are trying to get $391 out of us. A huge amount of customers worldwide have that same experience. There are Facebook groups dedicated to it. Seems like a scam they are running. I have called, emailed, spoken to claims dept, expressing our case and asking them to prove the damage was not there before we picked up our car and they have provided nothing. I called the location we rented from and it was not accepting calls. Now they have sent us to collections. I have contacted Attorney General, Better Business Bureau to fight this. I refuse to pay for damage I did not cause. I would avoid renting from Sixt. I never will again.

    Our experience had some issues, but the staff did their best to help us throughout. We booked a Jeep Wrangler for a 3-week road trip, but when we arrived we were told it wasn’t available because the vehicles needed servicing. We were offered a free upgrade to a Ford Mustang Convertible 2.3 EcoBoost, which we accepted and used to start our trip. The next day we returned to the airport and successfully swapped it for a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2.0, which was great. However, that Jeep later showed an engine temperature warning, so we had to exchange it again in Salt Lake City. Fortunately, we were able to get the same model again. The staff was always friendly and tried to resolve every issue, but having to swap cars twice during a long road trip was quite inconvenient. We hope the vehicles are better checked before being rented out. Overall good service and people, but the experience didn’t go smoothly.

    This was the easiest rental I've ever had, from booking to returning the car. I booked online and picked a mystery car. I was a bit unsure since I'd never rented from SIXT, but I figured, why not? I did all the check-in online and even chose my car before I got off the plane. When you check in online, you can see the mystery car or upgrade to a different one. My mystery car was a BMW X3, and it was perfect. The only real "problem" was that I landed late morning, and there were a lot of people waiting for the shuttle from the airport to the rental place. I managed to get on the first bus, but there was only standing room, and a lot of luggage was sliding around with all the stops and starts. Once I got to the rental center I went to the space that the website said and hopped in, checked out and I was in my way! Great experience! Thanks!

    I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to Vanessa at the Sixt LAX rental station for her outstanding customer service and professionalism shown on 12 May 2026. Although the shuttle bus waiting time from the airport terminal to the rental station was quite long (around 30–40 minutes), Vanessa’s excellent attitude, patience, and genuine willingness to help completely changed the experience for the better. She handled customers calmly and efficiently despite the busy situation, and her support truly wiped away the frustration from the long wait. It is rare nowadays to meet someone who provides service with such professionalism, positivity, and care. Vanessa is definitely a valuable asset to Sixt, and I hope her great work receives the recognition she deserved. Thank you again, Vanessa, for turning a stressful experience into a pleasant one.

    We have been renting cars for 17 years and have never experienced anything like this until renting from Sixt in LAX. Not only was the vehicle downgraded from the size we originally paid for, but after returning the car, the employee inspected it, told us everything looked good, and I got an Email stating that all is good and they released the hold. Then 2–3 days later, we suddenly received an email claiming there was damage underneath the front bumper. The alleged scratch was on the very bottom of the car — something that could only happen from going underneath the vehicle. During our business trip, the car was parked all of the time and was handled very carefully. I requested a call but no one has reached out to me. What makes this even more frustrating is that after being accused of causing damage, I requested the vehicle’s log and image history for proof, but no one has ever reached out to me. It feels extremely fishy that after being told everything was good and the car was cleared, a damage claim suddenly appeared days later. Very disappointing experience and not the level of trust or professionalism we expected from a rental company. Will never do a business with Sixt from this location.
