  Had someone attempt to break my passenger side window. What I thought was going to be an expensive pain in the butt to fix/replace ended up being relatively easy thanks to my insurance and Safelite. It was easy to make an appointment, they were available within 2 days. They came to me and the tech (Manny) was communicative about when he would arrive and made quick work of the window replacement. Was very happy that what could have been a horrible experience turned out to be so pleasant.

  1 star — Poor communication and wasted my time. Booked a Tesla windshield replacement and was told 2–3 hours by email and again at check-in. I had my infant with me, so I planned around that. After waiting, another employee tells me Teslas actually take 6 hours and says the front desk “should have known.” That’s a Safelite problem, not mine. If it takes 6 hours, tell customers upfront. I would have made different arrangements instead of wasting my time and sitting there with my baby. I expect Safelite to take responsibility and compensate me for the inconvenience caused by their mistake.

  I had a great experience with Safelite! I received a Tesla factory windshield replacement, calibrated to ensure my self-driving features continued working properly. The service was quick, professional, and covered by my insurance. Highly recommend!

  I booked an appointment to have my entire windshield replaced. The woman at the front desk called the day before and asked for my vin number to verify that they had the right windshield. When I arrived the next day the technician said he wanted to check and verify they had the right windshield. After ten minutes he came back and charged me $600 and took the keys. I ordered a car to take me home until they fixed it which they said would take approximately 2 hours. Just when my car arrived, the technician came out and said “YOU ordered the wrong part it would actually cost more.” So I had to cancel my ride home (which charged me a cancellation fee) and the technician brings out the manager who tells me the windshield would actually be $800 instead of $600. This was either pure incompetence on their part or a deliberate way to up charge me. First of all, they said “ I “ ordered the part. How could I order a part??! THEY ordered the windshield NOT me and they double checked twice before charging me. Well, I didn’t have $800. I only had $50 left after paying the $600 and ordering a car. I told them I would have scheduled the repair once I had the money if I knew it would be $800 but they quoted me $600 and two other shops quoted me $500 and $700. So they cancelled the transaction but, the charge is still pending with my bank three days later so I have no money and no new windshield. Then I get an email that says if I reschedule I could get a $90 off coupon. If it was that easy to reduce the price then why didn’t they do that to begin with?! This shop has very bad ethics. I will be contacting corporate with a complaint. Working-class people in this economy do not have an extra $600-$800 to throw around. This is a very serious issue. I wish I would have read the reviews before booking my appointment. I do not recommend going here.

  It was easy to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to my home using their website. I received notifications reminding me of my appointment and letting me know what to expect and making sure there was space around my car for the technician to work. The technician called me the morning of my appointment to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he was friendly and personable and he explained what he was going to do and set my expectations on the aesthetic of the repair. He let me know that when he was finished the crack would not be completely invisible but it would no longer continue to Spread. He also let me know how long it would take him to complete the repair. I declined the upgraded service that included free windshield wipers so he showed me the edge of the wipers and pointed out some scratches on the windshield and advised me to buy a new pair soon because the wipers were scratching my windshield. I thought that was nice of him to do even though I was not going to buy a pair through his company. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience from Scheduling the appointment to the service provided by the technician.
