  I rarely leave negative reviews, but after several weeks of trying to resolve this directly with Alamo LAX, I feel I have no other option. The rental itself was fine. The problems started after I returned the vehicle. I was charged additional amounts on my credit card that I couldn't reconcile with my original booking. While some turned out to be temporary authorizations, one charge remains unexplained despite multiple emails with customer service. More concerning, I later received an email referencing a completely different rental agreement number, followed by two more charges to my credit card. Despite reporting this immediately, I still haven't received a response or any reassurance that these charges aren't related to my account. At this point, my biggest concern isn't just the money, it's that I continue to see new charges and rental agreements appearing after my rental was completed. That shouldn't happen, and the lack of communication has made the situation even more frustrating. I would simply like someone from Alamo to investigate this properly, explain the charges, confirm that no other rentals have been created under my name, and resolve the issue once and for all.

  Enjoyed the SUV vehicle that I received, but the entire Alamo experience was boosted as I hopped onto the Alamo shuttle bus at LAX. The driver of this bus (Rudy Luna) was beyond INCREDIBLE! I've never seen a rental car or hotel shuttle driver perform like Rudy. Rudy was assisting every customer with their luggage and clearly communicating with everyone on the crowded bus. Folks cheered him as we stopped at the final terminal before heading to the central car rental site. Rudy should be training all the other shuttle drivers on what to do. I would hire Rudy in a second. He's a true asset to Alamo! I hope Alamo recognizes him for his hard work, diligence and awesome customer service!

  Really disappointing experience. I was turned away because my Revolut card wasn’t accepted, but what annoyed me most was being promised an email confirming the refund and the reason for the refusal. I never received it. The website clearly stated that debit cards were accepted but their location specific policy was not stated. I even went back to the branch three weeks later to chase it up. They apologised, promised again that they’d send the email and copy me in, and… nothing. If you’re not going to send it, don’t promise it twice. It turned an already frustrating situation into an even worse customer experience.

  I had a wonderful experience with Alamo LAX. We arrived and the front desk person wasn’t the friendliest, but he was efficient. When we went down to get our vehicle we were given the option between two vehicles and the woman assisting us was very sweet. After our five day trip, we returned with our vehicle and it was a very simple and easy process. We pulled in to the check-in area and our representative was very polite and knowledgeable and gave us easy directions to get back to the shuttles for the airport. On our way, I wish I had gotten young man’s name, as he was so sweet. We were walking and he ran to the other side of the lot and grabbed a cart for our luggage to make things easier while walking. I would absolutely use Alamo again, everything was wonderful!

  The car itself was fine. Had some issues with XM radio: 1) Attendant at the check out booth on 6/11 supposedly initiated XM set up but told us to call a local number if it didn’t enable in 30 minutes. It didn’t enable. 2) The local support number for the LAX location put us into infinite voice response hell and never allowed us to get to someone to help us. 3) We contacted Alamo customer support on 6/12 and they said they’d submit a request to get XM enabled. They first said they couldn’t see on our account, even though our invoice/rental receipt clearly showed we paid for it. Never heard from Alamo. 4) On 6/14 went to Palm Springs airport location to get this sorted out. They told us (1) they could do nothing about enabling the radio, and that our car (a Mercedes SUV) was not XM-capable (despite me showing them a picture of the car’s XM radio ID) and (2) there was no record of a request from Alamo customer support (supposedly submitted 6/12) on our reservation. Unbeknownst to me, the PS Airport location also removed the XM charge from my reservation and said that LAX would contact me. 5) LAX did email me the night of 6/14 and “confirmed” we were taken care of because the charge was removed from the account. I just left it alone — it was too much drama to pursue further. Very disappointing customer service from Alamo, especially the misinformation about communications. Did not reflect positively on them at all
