  Extremely disappointing experience. I'd give it negative stars if I could. We bought a set of tires online through Giga Tires with installation included, and scheduled an appointment at this location to have them put on. When we arrived, staff tried to pull up our vehicle by license plate and their system would not populate the information. I asked if there was another way to look up the vehicle, and was told no. I asked if a manager or supervisor could override the system, and was told no one was available. In the end, they refused to do the installation at all, even though we had already paid for it when we bought the tires. When I offered to just pay out of pocket on the spot, that was not an option either. What kind of business model is that?! This wasn't a staffing or time issue. There were three techs standing in the bay with no cars in front of them. I specifically asked if we had walked in off the street wanting a tire change, would they help us, and was told no, because they still could not pull up our vehicle information. When I asked why a license plate was even needed to install a tire, no one could explain it beyond "we have to enter it into the system first." One of the techs mentioned they run into this issue regularly with customers who buy tires online, and that they recommend buying tires directly from the shop instead. If this is a known, recurring problem, it's hard to understand why no one called ahead to confirm the vehicle information or warn us there might be an issue before we showed up for our scheduled appointment. We left with the tires we'd already paid to have installed, no service, and no real explanation. When I asked for the owner's contact information, I was told I'd have to call corporate. The only thing I walked away with was the store manager's business card. I've never heard of needing a license plate number to install tires!!! And if the State of California provided the plates, why they wouldn't be able to pull them up!!! I would not recommend booking an appointment here if you've purchased tires online, and I'd think twice about this location in general given how the situation was handled.

  Patrick the manager at this location is a great asset. He charges fair and correct prices for basic services like tire mounting and balancing, and doesn't try to add on crazy mark-ups or unnecessary repairs as managers do at so many tire stores. I've been taking my vehicles here for years for all sorts of tire and brake work. Like everyone, Skip's has had its struggles keeping good mechanics, especially during Covid. But even when repairs don't go right the first time, Patrick is always super-motivated to get it right, and gets any problems fixed immediately.

  The front desk service is bad bad the guys at the front desk are always helping with a bad attitude i went there two times two different persons and It appears that they have the same problem

  They fixed our car which we appreciate, but overcharged us by ~$600 on what we agreed to. After we showed them the mistake, they agreed to make the change. Three weeks later after many calls and promises of fixing this overcharge, we've still not received the credit back. Below are screenshots of what we agreed to on the phone, and the receipt with the overcharge. You can see that the BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH which should have been a cost of $97.60 as shown on the computer screenshot was typed in as $643.97 in the actual receipt, identical to the cost of the FUEL PUMP. It is disappointing that they acknowledged the mistake, promised to give the credit back, and after many calls, never actually did it.

  I had an appointment to het a tire fixed. The guy couldn't find my plate in his computer and refused to fix my tire despite the appointment. And he was ruse to top it off. Zero stars.
