  Decided to give this place a shot, and unfortunately we ended up in the line that looked shorter but turned into quite the wait. A vehicle in front of us became non-operational and was unable to move, which caused a major backup in the line. This was completely outside of the team’s control, but naturally, after waiting for quite a while, my wife and I were starting to get pretty irritated. My wife eventually stepped out of the car to get someone’s attention, but before she could even complain, she noticed that the team was already working together to figure out how to resolve the situation while also trying to keep the other customers taken care of. At that point, she decided to get back in the car and give them the opportunity to make it right because they were clearly already doing everything they could without needing to be told. Not long after, they came over to us, acknowledged the long wait, and apologized for the unexpected delay caused by the disabled vehicle. Francisco and Robert then went above and beyond to make up for the lengthy wait and make sure we were taken care of. What could have easily turned into a bad first experience ended up being a great example of customer service. The situation causing the delay wasn’t their fault, but how they handled it absolutely made a difference. Their effort to turn an irritating situation around, along with the attention they gave us once they were able to get to our car, was above and beyond. We will definitely come back and give this place another try. Francisco and Robert, you guys rock! 🙌

  The crew at Valvoline Instant Oil Change are a credit to the auto maintenance profession. The are honest and truthful while working diligently to move vehicles quickly and efficiently through the process. I do not trust any other outfit to service my car.

  Service was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the way the lines were managed. When I arrived, I was directed into one line, while cars that arrived after me were directed into another line that ended up moving much faster. Two vehicles that arrived after me were already finished and gone well before my oil change was completed. I wish there were a better system for managing the lines so customers are served more consistently in the order they arrive. Other than that, I had a great experience with the staff and service.

  I’ve been coming here for years and my list visit seriously was the worst experience ever. I got there before opening and was the 2nd car. Throughout the whole time while I was there waiting, around 15 minutes, the employee kept suggesting and explaining different upgrades. I of course said no because I’m just here for an oil change and had work soon, but it just kept going and going. Then everything was all out of order. He forgot to read my battery so the manager Oscar 25 minutes later came and did it, then they said my battery was reading low because of the fact that he forgot to tell me to turn off my headlights so my car might have to be jump started. Then of course at the end the oil change was rushed, I wasn’t told to reset it or anything just to get out the door and then my car doesn’t start. They even looked at the battery and was like oh actually we don’t work on this kind of battery or have one here to replace it, so it seemed very purposeful that my working battery just died all of a sudden, they were looking to add on something extra. They jump started my car and now I had to figure out a way to get to work and afford a new battery since I am a college student and can’t just afford a $300 battery. What’s worse is that the manager Oscar gives me a call and says oh we can’t refund you just because we did the oil change correctly and the battery is on you. I sat there for so long, being badgered into buying things, you guys caused my battery to die, and you can’t refund me back my money? The customer service was terrible as well as management and the actual service. Skip the trouble and go somewhere that they are more experienced and they don’t pressure you into extras the whole time.

  Okay! WOW!! From the moment I entered Valvoline on Carson Blvd in the LBC I knew I was in good hands with a young Antonio guiding me in. As a woman, getting an oil change can sometimes be overwhelming and intimidating! As I felt today when the guys at Walmart auto shop on Carson at the LB town center were so rude to me , I came into Valvoline for the first time because it was my closest option and I came in all frazzled from the bad experience I had just had at Walmart auto shop. But my stress started to just melt away as Antonio so charmingly explained that all I had to do is sit in my car and the team would do the rest. Then a very confident but gracious and so professional Nayeli came to my car window to get all the details annd information about my car to get my oil change process started. I knew now I was in good hands , it was refreshing and badass to see women working there doing mechanic stuff and Nayeli was very impressive and professional . She explained everything needed and being done to my car so at no time did I feel like I was being taking advantage of, like I have at other oil changing businesses including Jiffy Lubes I have been to in the past . She actually patiently explained and literally showed me my dirty filter needing to be changed. Next I was helped by Bryan who had a great radio voice and great fun personality who then went over all they did for my car and what I was being charged for , he took down my personal information to email me everything done and the receipt as they are paperless (great for the environment) 🙂. And so it was effortless , I relaxed in my car with the AC the whole time . It was like I was watching a perfect waltz as these employees moved around each other flawlessly in such a small tight place, working together as a team making sure all ran smoothly. Oscar you have a great team , all the employees seemed happy to be there and had smiles and such pleasant customer service , you must be doing a great job as a leader guiding them . Not even at Target in Signal Hill have I ever gotten such great customer service in such a greasy atmosphere lol ! Ladies ! I highly recommend Valvoline for your car oil changing needs ! You got a forever loyal customer service Valvoline on Carson in the LBC Town Center (next to In n Out) and I’m telling everyone ! 😍😉🤩
