  Extremely disappointing experience at Alamo at Long Beach Airport. Bad attitude no customer service lazy. The only staff seemed completely uninterested in helping customers who needed to get my vehicle to be on my way. The employee assisting me told me the keys were not ready and asked me to wait in the lobby while she called to find out how long it would take. After about 15 minutes, I could see that she was simply on her phone and did not appear to be following up at all. When I finally asked what was taking so long, instead of trying to help or provide an update, she became argumentative. At that point, I asked her to cancel my reservation, and she refused to do so. I repeated more than 5 times, "please cancel my reservation." She ignored me and just played on her phone. The entire experience showed a serious lack of urgency, professionalism, and customer service. Travelers are often on schedules and shouldn't have to repeatedly ask employees to follow up on something they already said they would handle. Very frustrating experience and a stark contrast to the level of service I would expect from a major rental company. I resolved my own situation and just rented with Budget for the same low rate. I was finally on my way. Next time we only go with Budget.

  The checkin location is in the parking lot, not the airport. The parking lot directly in front of alamo rental counter. Other an that, Rental experience was fine!

  The young men that helped me get my car were great. I had to switch cars because the first one wasn't going to work and they were very pleasant to do the exchange. They were respectful and treated me as of it was no big deal that they just wanted me to be pleased with my rental. Easy check out with one of the same young men that I got the original rental from. All in all a good experience. Highly recommend.
