We had an outstanding experience with Lodi Honda purchasing our 2024 HR-V Sport. After 26+ years of buying cars, I can honestly say this was hands down one of the best car-buying experiences I’ve ever had, and that is entirely thanks to Mel Nitura.
Mel was professional, responsive, transparent, and never pushy throughout the entire process. He worked hard for us, communicated clearly, and ultimately got us a deal that other dealerships — including Vallejo Honda — told us simply wasn’t possible. That alone says a lot about both his effort and integrity.
From start to finish, Mel treated us with respect and made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and wants them to leave happy. If you’re considering buying from Lodi Honda, do yourself a favor and ask for Mel. He absolutely earned our business and future referrals.
The only area that could have been a little better was the finance portion. We were the last deal of the evening, so the paperwork process moved very quickly, and the finance manager was on FaceTime during part of the signing process, which felt a bit unprofessional. It wasn’t enough to ruin the experience by any means, but it did stand out compared to how exceptional the rest of the experience was.
Overall, we left extremely happy with both our new HR-V and the deal we received. Huge thanks again to Mel and the team at Lodi Honda for making this such a positive experience.

After purchasing our 2024 HR-V Sport from Lodi Honda, I received a personal message and follow-up from General Manager Branden Moy regarding an issue we experienced during the finance process. The fact that he took the time to personally reach out, apologize sincerely, and address the situation immediately speaks volumes about his character, integrity, and genuine care for his customers.
I had a great conversation with Branden, and honestly, it reinforced that we absolutely made the right choice choosing Lodi Honda. The level of customer service we received from Mel during the buying process was already exceptional, but Branden’s follow-up and professionalism took it to another level.
My family has always been Toyota people, but after this experience, we truly feel like part of the Lodi Honda family now. That says a lot. It’s rare nowadays to find a dealership that genuinely values people beyond just making a sale.
