First, I originally made an appointment to get my windshield replaced at my house but last min they called and said they can’t come to me for whatever reason so I have to come to their shop which was an inconvenience for me. Once I gave them my car, to their shop, I got picked up to run errands . While I’m running errands, I have my AirTag that I hid in my car pinging that it’s being driven into the street and to other businesses across the street. WHY IS MY CAR BEING DRIVEN FOR A JOYRIDE AND NOT BEING SERVICED. These people will take advantage of your car and lie to you about it. Avoid this place and get your service from local smaller businesses.

I had my windshield replaced less than eight months ago. I made an appointment online in which I couldn't make one for more than a few days due to availability the crack spread and they told me my warranty was voided. Which I can understand, but when I made my appointment, l'd mention that the crack look like it was spreading and may need a windshield. They assured me that it was probably unnecessary. Only for me to figure out when I get there that I need to replace the windshield which again is not the biggest deal but the guy at the counter told me he didn't bother to order the windshield because he wasn't sure I would pay for it. why on earth would I come to a repair shop if I don't have the intention to fix my car I came back a few days later. Had to call out of work to be able to make the appointment in which I show up on time and they told me that they had some 10 o'clock appointments. They wanted to take before mine because they were quicker. I told him that was fine, but if they could remove my tint or let me remove it so I could warranty it because it's still within the warranty. The guy at the counter told me they don't normally do it but they don't mind they'l help me out then when I come to pick up my car, they claim they never agreed to that and they don't do that as per their policy they certainly could've explained that in the beginning and I would've taken the time to take the tint off myself as it says difficult is peeling a sticker off. I didn't even get my parking pass for parking at the hospital so I had to go back to the hospital and have another pass re-issued to me. On another sidenote, the plastic for the mirror from the calibration fell off on the drive home according to the local Hyundai dealership, they need to recalibrate the sensor just after | left Safelite I could've saved a lot of time and effort by just going to the dealership. Having had to come here twice in one year for the same thing and have bad service both times and things not covered or things they promise to do not fulfilled is extremely unprofessional.

Awful communication. Set up appointments without confirming anything with the prospective client. Arrived late to said appointment by over an hour. Contacting the customer service line only gives you a random rep from a different state and all they can do is send an email. Really should clean up your act. Choose the local glass company instead, better customer service and a better warranty. Not to mention they bring the glass, and claim it is not for my car, the local shop used the same model number and had no issues, seemed like a bait and switch to make me pay more. Maybe if you attempted to contact me from the get go, but again that’s near impossible to get in touch with anyone physically at this store.

Safelite is the best window service in my opinion you can either go to the shop or they can come to you. My technician Mario came to my residence at 9 AM and was done with my car by 10:30 AM and he had to do two windows I would recommend Safelite to anybody looking for a window replacement.

I went to the Safelite location on 10th Street West in Lancaster today to have two cracks in my windshield repaired. Before the work was done, they explained that the repairs would not necessarily look great and that the cracks could still be visible afterward. I understood that completely and agreed to proceed because my main concern was simply having the cracks repaired. When I saw the finished repair, it honestly did not look good, but I didn't complain because they had warned me beforehand and I accepted that. What I do have a serious problem with is how they handled my payment. I was quoted and charged $152.97, which I had absolutely no problem paying. Later, when I checked my credit card account, I discovered that the $152.97 charge had been reversed and Safelite had charged my card again for over $160.96. Nobody from this location called me. Nobody emailed me. Nobody explained why the amount changed. Nobody asked for my authorization before charging my card a different amount than what I had agreed to. I had to discover it myself and then take my own time to call Safelite's corporate office. Corporate attempted to contact the Lancaster location while I was on the phone and couldn't even get anyone at the store to answer. I was then told I would have to wait up to 48 business hours for someone to contact me. The additional roughly $8 is completely irrelevant to me financially. This is about principle and professionalism. You don't quote a customer one amount, reverse that transaction, and then charge their credit card a higher amount without communicating with them or explaining why. Being a nationwide company. I expect considerably better business practices and customer service than having to monitor my credit card statement to discover that a location decided to charge me more than the amount I authorized. Extremely unprofessional way to handle a customer's payment.
