As a customer who has been shopping at this store for over 10 years, I've never had a bad experience here until today.
When I first walked in, I was helped by a female employee who was very friendly and professional. I asked for a set of standard brake pads, and she placed them on the counter for me. I then realized I had left my phone in my car and needed it to access my rewards account, so I went to my car for a moment. When I came back in, I was helped by a middle aged man with silver hair. I asked him about the difference between the standard brake pads and the performance brake pads. He explained the differences and based on the conversation, I decided to go with the performance brake pads instead. I also purchased some oil and an oil filter. After leaving the store, I got into my car and opened the brake pad box. Right away, I noticed the brake pads appeared to be used. There was no plastic packaging around them, and the pads themselves looked worn, with less than half of the brake pads remaining. I immediately went back into the store. Another employee named Edgar called me over to his register, and I explained that the brake pads appeared to be used and that there was no plastic packaging on them. He stood there silently for what felt like a full minute before responding "What are you talking about? What plastic wrap are you talking about?" in a tone that immediately came across as annoyed. I explained that new brake pads are usually plastic wrapped and pointed out how worn the pads were. As soon as I showed him the wear on the brake pads, his attitude seemed to change. He appeared frustrated that I had brought it up and became defensive with me. Instead of focusing on the issue, it felt like he was taking the return personally... He then looked up the part on the computer and told me they didn't have any more performance brake pads in stock. I responded to him that was fine and that I would just take the standard brake pads that I had originally come in to buy. That's when he pointed at the screen and said, "LOOK, THERE'S NOTHING IN STOCK." I was confused because the standard brake pads had literally been sitting on the counter just a couple of minutes earlier. I told him exactly that. He responded by saying he would go check the back. He and the female employee walked away, and about a minute later he came back and said, with the same attitude, "We don't have them." I told him again that the brake pads had been on the counter only a couple of minutes ago. He repeated "We don't have them!" At that point, I honestly felt like I was being gaslit. The brake pads had been physically sitting on the counter less than two minutes earlier... The whole situation just didn't add up to me... and it felt like after I pointed out the worn brake pads and returned them, Edgar no longer wanted to help me. I responded to him again "well they were just on the counter a few minutes ago, but okay". After that interaction, I walked over to the female employee and asked for his name. I told her that I didn't believe what he was saying because the standard brake pads had been right there on the counter just minutes before. She responded, "Yeah, yeah," and gave me a look that seemed to say she knew exactly what I meant. I can't speak for what she was thinking, but her reaction made me feel like I wasn't the only one who found the situation questionable. What bothered me was being sold what appeared to be used brake pads and then being treated with an attitude and gaslit when I brought the issue up. To regional and district management, I would like an explanation as to how a set of brake pads that appeared heavily worn ended up being sold to me as a new product? If used parts are finding their way back onto the shelf and being sold as new, are your employees even doing their jobs? I'd also like to know why your employees are taking exchanges personal and gaslighting customers?

I ordered a part for delivery by 9pm and called around 830 about it they said they didn't have any parts in stock so I had to cancel I drove to the one on bear valley they had it I told them what happened they checked and said they lied they had 3 in stock and probably were too lazy to deliver it. I will be going to the bear valley one now instead even if it is further for me.
