Waited nearly an hour and a half in line to get an oil change. Once I was at the front, it took about 18 minutes. I noticed once they switched the crew, everything became a lot faster. Overall, the quality wasn’t bad, but the wait time ruined the experience

Amazing service! The staff are awesome and they go through every detail with you. They make notes on service you get done elsewhere. They don't push other services, but offer them and get you out fast. I have been coming here for years and totally recommend checked them out.

I went to Valvoline for an oil change and was charged over $120—more than I pay at my regular mechanic. Pricing was not posted or discussed beforehand. I signed nothing and gave no verbal authorization to proceed at that price. I only learned the cost after the work was finished.
This raises a concern under California Business and Professions Code § 9884.9. The oil-change exception in subsection (e)(2) requires customer authorization and a total parts-and-labor price that is conspicuously displayed or provided and acknowledged. Neither pricing disclosure happened during my visit.
The service itself was equally disappointing. Blake, the employee performing the oil change, pulled the dipstick at least ten times and appeared to overfill the oil. Two senior employees had to come over to help read it. That left me questioning whether the final oil level was correct and whether the work was adequately supervised.
Before leaving the parking lot, I stopped and found oil on the hood, grille, and bumper. I had to rush to a nearby bank before closing, but afterward I checked under the hood. Oil was pooled in the plastic area near the windshield and spilled on the engine block and air intake hose.
I called Valvoline and was told to return. The employee who handled the cleanup was kind and apologetic, spent time cleaning with degreaser, and acknowledged how much oil there was. I appreciated her professionalism. The manager, however, offered neither a verbal apology nor a discount for the condition of my car or the inconvenience of returning.
They also tried to charge $60 for a cabin air filter that costs around $13–$20 for the part. I understand businesses charge for installation and markup, but that price added to an already frustrating experience.
For over $120, I expected professionalism, competent service, and a clean vehicle. Instead, I had to discover the spills myself, return for cleanup, and leave without peace of mind that the oil was filled correctly. This location needs better supervision, a proper final inspection, and management willing to take responsibility when service falls short.

We had two cars that got in line after us get worked on before us. Had the tech tell us to start our car then check the dip stick that showed NO oil. Took them ten minutes to figure out the oil gun wasn't pumping any oil in to the engine. Was told we would get a discount which ended up being $5. We've been going there for years with three cars and have never had an experience like this. Hope it was just a one time thing.

My first time getting an oil change on my own, and it was an exceptional experience! My husband usually handles this, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Even though I arrived just an hour before closing, every single staff member was incredibly kind, welcoming, and eager to help. A special shoutout to Anelese, who went completely above and beyond! She was so sweet, answered all my questions, and even showed me where a few buttons inside my car were that I didn't even know existed! 😂. The vibe was so warm and inviting, it honestly makes me want to get my oil changed every other day! ;) Highly recommended!
