We purchased an all electric Hyundai Ioniq 9 in 2025
and informed their finance team that we would be claiming
the federal tax credit. Our CPA tried filing our 2025 tax return claiming the federal tax credit. The IRS rejected the claim and our CPA requested that we ask the dealership for a copy of the Form 15400 (Clean Vehicle Seller Report/Time-of-Sale Report) that they were required to file with the IRS at the time of the sale.
Over the span of a week, I called 4 times, was told 3 times
that "all" finance team members were unavailable and to
leave a message. I left 3 messages, one of which was for
Franklin the finance manager. The 4th time I called, I spoke
with Rafiq from the finance team who told me he would
connect with his controller to see what happened and would call me "right back." I also used the dealership's texting
service to send messages to them about this and my husband emailed. No one ever responded. My husband was required to take time off work to make the ~1 hour drive to the dealership to be told, in person, that the dealership had "no record" of ever
making the Form 15400 tax filing that they were obligated to
make. Notwithstanding their failure to complete the necessary tax filing, this failure should have been something that the dealership could have told me on the phone instead of making my husband drive to them. We now are working with our CPA to try to claim the tax credit that this dealership was too incompetent to file.

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation to the entire team at Folsom Lake Hyundai, and especially to Jessie!
Jessie was exceptional throughout the entire process—incredibly professional, patient, and thoroughly dedicated to helping us find the absolute perfect vehicle. He took the time to answer all of our questions without any pressure. To top it off, his knowledge of the car’s technology was impressive; he ensured everything was completely set up and that we were comfortable before we drove off the lot that night.
Thank you again to Jessie and the amazing sales team for such a top-tier experience!
This was one of the best, easiest and fastest car buying experiences I’ve ever had. I was looking to trade in my vehicle for a hybrid. Don listened to what I was looking for in a new vehicle and the price/monthly payment I would be comfortable with, found a vehicle that was a perfect match, had me take a test drive. After the test drive, he made sure I was getting everything I wanted at a price that I wanted and made it happen. There was no haggling or trying to upsell me on features to bump the price. Once the deal was done he made sure that I was well acquainted with the features and technology my new car had. He even helped me connect my phone to the car. While this was not the first time I purchased a new vehicle through Folsom Lake Hyundai it was certainly the best. I look forward to being a return customer in the future.

Simply said, Barbara (Valencia) made our car purchase a really good experience. She greeted us, introducing herself and making sure we knew she was available for any questions we had. We did have a few then she gave us time with the car we were interest in. She came back at the perfect time, answered our questions and we decided to go in and see what she could do for us. We told her we had done our homework and knew what we could and would spend. Barbara made it happen. We were very happy and I hope she was also. We will be recommending her, specifically, to anyone we hear is interested in a Hyundai. Actually, truth be known, if I had a business I wouldn’t hesitate to try to get her to work for me!

Worst experience I had at the dealership with sales rep Josh finance manager Franklin. First of all sales rep don’t know if the car was available or not after I gave him the stock number he said the car is sold. The I called the ell grove dealership and they said it’s available. And I end up purchasing that same car. Deal was made over the phone did not test drive the car or sat in the car since it was 2025 and under warranty. Sales rep was very rude didn’t know any of the features in the car. And he was very rude over the phone. Then went to the dealership to sign documents and finance person Franklin did not sent the correct information to my bank and I had to call my bank to get the update and provide with the information they needed that took almost 2 weeks to get it done. I called the dealer everyday to get update but everyone just took the message and no one got back to me and my bank kept calling me and telling me that dealer hasn’t sent them any documents. Then on September 16th I called and Franklin said deal is funded already but my bank did not fund the deal until the 18th so they just lied so I don’t call back and ask questions. I will never go back the dealership again. They going to Elk Grove they are very nice and they will take care of you and provide you with all the information and answer all of your questions and not be rude on the phone. Folsom need to hire better staff who cares about their customers and can provide good customer service. Then their GM shack called me try to coverup the situation and told me not to leave a review.
