    Let me save you the drive. I spent two full days negotiating numbers over the phone with salesman Adam. Two days. After all of that, his manager Mike personally instructed Adam to invite me to come to the dealership. His exact message was that they would "make it work." I trusted that. I packed up my young daughter and drove two hours to get there. The moment I arrived, manager Mike walked up to me and said — to my face, in front of my child — "I asked you not to come down here." He looked me in the eye and said the complete opposite of what actually happened. That is not a miscommunication. That is a lie. To make it worse — the car I drove four hours round trip to see was filthy. Dirty inside and out. And the AC was broken. On a $50,000 vehicle. A fifty thousand dollar car sitting on their lot with a broken air conditioner and not a single person thought to clean it before a customer drove two hours to see it. This dealership is everything wrong with the car buying experience. They are dishonest on the phone, disrespectful in person, and completely unbothered about wasting your time and your family's time. Mike is the definition of a bad manager — rude, dishonest, and cowardly enough to blame the customer for following his own invitation. I will be filing a formal complaint with Kia Motor America corporate. I encourage everyone reading this to do the same if you have had a similar experience

    My husband and I had a very disappointing experience at Kia of Elk Grove. We went in looking for a new vehicle and worked with Niko, the salesperson, and Mike, the sales manager. My husband was approved for a Kia K5, and we even rang the bell to celebrate. Mike specifically told us to bring back a certain document for verification and assured us that once we provided it, we would be able to take the car home that same day. We returned around 5:30 PM with the requested document and handed it to Niko. After discussing it with the finance department for over 10 minutes, Niko came back and told us that the bank was now asking for two years of tax returns. This was surprising and frustrating, especially since we were purchasing a car, not a house. The next day, we returned hoping to speak with Mike, but he was unavailable. Another employee assisted us and asked us to provide the two years of tax returns, which we did. After reviewing them, we were told they still would not work. Throughout the process, the requirements kept changing. Initially, they requested a $1,500 down payment. When I offered that amount, Niko spoke with the finance department and then came back saying the bank now required a $9,000–$10,000 down payment. At that point, it felt like we were being given inconsistent information and unrealistic demands. We were also asked to provide 12 months of bank statements, which seemed excessive. Despite my husband’s 720 credit score, we felt we were being treated unfairly and given the runaround. Fortunately, we decided to visit Hanlees Kia in Davis. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and straightforward. They helped my husband get approved without requiring tax returns or a massive down payment. We only provided three months of bank statements and a $1,000 down payment. The process was smooth, transparent, and respectful. I’m sharing this experience to warn others to be cautious and to do their research before committing to a dealership. They wanted to take advantage of people like us. We make good money and worked hard for it as well. so sad we live in a world like that. Our experience at Kia of Elk Grove was unprofessional, frustrating, and disappointing. Meanwhile, Hanlees Kia earned our business by treating us with honesty and respect.

    I had an absolutely wonderful experience purchasing my new vehicle from Elk Grove Kia! From the moment I walked onto the lot! Brandon Calloway was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on helping me find the perfect car without any pressure. He sold me my last Kia which I leased, now I was ready to purchase. Brandon took the time to answer all my questions, clearly explained the financing options, and made the entire process smooth and transparent. Brandon even worked with me to get a great value on my trade-in! The transparency made a huge difference, and the finance associate Suzanne made the paperwork swift and painless!!! I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a stress-free car buying experience. Thank you Brandon Calloway!!! Ten million stars all the way for this gentleman! Give this hard working man a raise!!

    ☠️BUYER BEWARE ☠️ I bought a car here a few weeks back and the warranty was not clearly disclosed during the transaction and was added despite the vehicle being purchased for commercial use. When I asked Bill about why he would do that, he said "I never thought anyone wouldn't want one" whereas he fully knew that the vehicle was purchased for commercial purposes which would void the contract. Make sure you READ THE FINE PRINT. These guys will do some sleazy things if you let them. Bill even lied to me about processing the cancellation forum. I found out because when I just called Alpha Warranty they said they know nothing about the cancellation (thank God I called because they managed to fix my issue). It blows my mind that things like this happen in a first world country and this dealership is a massive disgrace to Kia as a brand. 👎

    I can’t say enough good things about my experience here, first I was looking for a hybrid vehicle at an affordable price so I assumed the base model would fit the bill. Eli took the time to research my location (I live in the mountains where there is snow and an AWD would be best but assumed it was out of my price range), calculated the difference in cost and pulled the vehicle out of “the back” as it wasn’t listed yet (just arrived) and took me out for a test drive. The experience was pleasant and enjoyable. Niko was awesome and treated me with the utmost respect, streamlining the appraisal of my vehicle I was trading in, making sure I was comfortable with a drink and some coffee, helping me keep my monthly payments and interest rates for financing within my goal range, he ensured I was COMPLETELY satisfied with the experience from start to finish and he is the primary reason I bought from this dealer. The gentleman who submitted my finance application and ran my credit made me feel respected and appreciated as a veteran and went out of his way to give me a military discount and find the right lender. The finance team who did the paperwork worked hard to give me a great maintenance package and warranty package that fit my budget and honored my Costco discount. Last, I had an aftermarket sound system in the car and Eli along with the service department ensured that I was able to get my sound system removed efficiently and worked with my schedule to do so. For the record, the dealership was clean, comfortable, and customer friendly. Even though everyone was busy, everyone seamlessly worked together regardless of who was getting the sale. This showed me that the most important thing was the customer service experience rather than their commissions. Whoever the dealership managers are for each department deserves recognition for this trait as it is unprecedented and hard to find these days. This was hands down the best experience I have EVER had buying a car (and I’ve bought quite a few). I’ll be referring family and friends. Thank you Elk Grove Kia, sincerely.
