For years, I genuinely enjoyed storing my boat at Discovery Bay Marina. Our family made many great memories on the water, and I recommended the marina to others. Unfortunately, my experience over the last year or two has been the complete opposite. The marina staff accidentally launched my boat after removing the drain plug, causing it to flood with water. Accidents can happen, and I understand that. What I cannot understand is how the situation was handled afterward. After their mistake damaged my boat, I received no meaningful assistance with the recovery or repairs. I had to remove the boat from the marina, dry it out, repair the damage, and deal with the consequences entirely on my own. There was no offer of physical help, no financial assistance, and very little communication. To make matters worse, while my boat was off-site because I was repairing the damage their staff caused, the marina continued billing me for dry-stack storage. Shortly afterward, they terminated my long-term storage agreement. The most disappointing part wasn’t that a mistake was made—it was that a loyal, long-term customer was left to handle the entire situation alone. Instead of standing behind their service and working toward a fair resolution, Discovery Bay Marina chose to bill me, offer no meaningful support, and ultimately force me out. If you’re considering storing your boat here, I would encourage you to think not only about how the marina operates when everything goes right, but also how they treat customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, based on my experience, that was where Discovery Bay Marina failed me the most.

We have our boat docked in a wet slip at the Discovery Bay Marina. The cost are very high but we still do it but the staff and professionalism is horrible. We have had concerns with gates, electric locks, and staff and when brought up it is swept under a rug. We call daily and weekly to speak with a manager so we can get some answers on concerns but the unprofessional staff always says the manager is in a meeting, unavailable or just not able to help. This has been 3 months this has been happening and when you go in they act like your a problem. This place needs a whole new staff and leadership who values its customers and ensures customer service is their main priority. Speaking to many here nothing will change because the issues have been the same for years. You can clearly see the new owners who responds to the reviews is out of touch with reality and send these auto generated responses that are all the same to every review. There is no care from them and is very concerning. Legal assistance and council will unfortunately be the only driver that will spark change.

So happy I finally tried this place, it was honestly such a good find. Walked in thinking it was just a basic marina store but they have way more stuff than I expected, like fishing gear and snacks and random boating parts I dont even know the names of. The guy at the counter was super chill and actually helped me figure out what I needed without making me feel dumb for not knowing. Got a new bait setup on a whim becuase the price felt reasonable, and I caught way more than usual out on the water later. Im already planning tommorrow to go back and grab a few more things just in case. I hope they dont ever change becuase spots like this are getting harder to find
