Owners, manager, and mechanics provided prompt, knowledgeable, outstanding service. They refused to perform oil change before smog test for fear they might do something wrong. Note there was nothing wrong with the car and i really wasnt worried about it passing. I always change the oil before a test. Called ahead about getting oil changed for 1991 Mazda Miata. Came in told the guy I wanted oil change before smog. He said do it after. I asked why he said because then I would know why it didnt pass. The aim is to get it to pass at 140 a test I didnt want a repeat. I said please change it as it is recommended to do before smog. He called 2 older guys over. One said they would not do it because they didn't want to be responsible for it not passing if they forgot to do something. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. EDIT IN RESPONSE The car was due for an oil change. I happened to mention i intended to get a smog check. If I hadnt said a word... The fact I had called first, traveled the 15 min to get turned away cuz your employee felt he might make a mistake seems like an issue larger than me. Best of luck.
