  Waste of time, sad to offer a mirage of a service in a local Davis consumers guide coupon book, invite a potential customer down to get the simple service accomplished and then upon arrival say we can’t even do this service that we said we could do over the phone. Foresight would have been as simple as verifying whether you can accommodate a customer who explains all relevant details before having them come down to the shop.

  Called in advance about a simple AC tuneup. Explained very clearly the year, make and model. Show up, even in spite of clarifying all details days in advance, the technician says we don’t service newer vehicle AC systems, wasting my time. I guess some places called that customer service….

  Today I traveled through Davis on my way to the Bay Area. I ran over a bicycle path stanchion and blew a new tire. Luckily I was able to drive to Davis Auto Works which was nearby. Shane responded immediately and swapped my damaged tire for my spare. He was kind, expert, and worked quickly. Thanks to him, I made it home two hours later. I cannot recommend him more highly. Do yourself a favor and take your car to Davis Auto Works when it needs servicing or you are in a bind.
