  Extremely well stocked on the sales floor. Could use a little better customer service. Sales people should understand not everyone knows exactly what they need in automotive.

  I went to AutoZone for a battery replacement. I received zero issues. George installed the battery for me. There was some difficulty in the installation because of a tight area that was challenge to reach. It took longer, but he stayed with it until it was rightly secured. Autozone is now my number 1 auto parts store. Thanks AutoZone, and thanks George🤙🏽

  Another honest review from me! I do a lot of reviews because I believe good people and great employees deserve recognition and when an experience isn't good, I'll be honest about that too. AutoZone Costa Mesa is hands down the best AutoZone I've visited. I've had uncomfortable experiences at several LA locations where I've felt ignored, judged, or even laughed at for not fitting the stereotypical image of someone who knows about cars. Costa Mesa completely changed that perception. The store was busy, yet THREE employees checked to make sure I was being helped. Everyone was professional, welcoming, and helping customers from all different backgrounds. Manny especially deserves recognition. I needed a new battery for my 2001 Buick Park Avenue, and instead of making me feel clueless, he encouraged me to try installing it myself. When he saw me struggling, he stepped in, reassured me that he had my back, and actually taught me what he was doing. I left with a working car AND more confidence in maintaining it myself. To Manny and the Costa Mesa team working September 23: THANK YOU. Employees like this are often underappreciated, and AutoZone should absolutely recognize this team. I'll be back!

  This auto zone is above and beyond. Went 8/25/26 evening to buy some oil and potentially oil stabilizers for my old car. Staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Bought some oil to top off my car as it was eating through it. Did not even ask for help and the guy who helped me check out helped me out anyway after helping an older lady to her car and he noticed me pouring oil in. Also helped me find the stabilizer my mechanic recommended. Gave me a few important pointers and even supervised me while I waited the oil to level out. Extremely friendly and helpful. Gives equivalent or even maybe better advice than my mechanic(just between us lol). Rare to find a place like this.
