Very disappointing customer service experience.
I had a scheduled appointment today at 1:15 PM. I arrived on time and waited for approximately 40 minutes without anyone assisting me.
During that time, I noticed customers in the lanes next to me being assisted. When I asked about it, I was told that those lanes were for regular service, while the lane I was waiting in was for diagnostics. I could understand that explanation if it were applied consistently.
However, what I cannot understand is why a female customer who arrived after me in the same diagnostic line was assisted before me, while I had already been waiting for approximately 40 minutes with a scheduled appointment. If we were both waiting for diagnostic service, on what basis was someone who arrived after me helped first?
From my perspective, it certainly gave me the impression that she received priority because she was a woman. Whether that was actually the reason or not, that is the impression your staff’s handling of the situation created.
Only after I became upset and complained did someone finally come to assist me. I explained the warning lights and the issue with my vehicle, and I was then told that the diagnostic process would take approximately 4–5 hours.
I understand that properly diagnosing a vehicle can take time. What I do not accept is having an appointment at 1:15 PM, waiting 40 minutes without even being properly attended to, watching someone who arrived after me get helped first, and then being told I may have to wait another 4–5 hours.
I was offered another appointment for Monday, but after this experience, I decided not to return and scheduled an appointment with a different Toyota location instead.
I have no problem paying for professional service or proper diagnostics. My complaint is about customer service, fairness, and respect for scheduled appointments. If appointments and arrival order are not going to be respected, customers should at least be given a reasonable explanation.
Unfortunately, after today’s experience, this location has lost my business.

One of the best dealer experiences I have had. Car was listed on Cargurus for 22,995. I drove to the dealership and looked at the car. No add-ons. No sales pressure. Turns out the car was listed as 21,995 on their website. They honored the lower price. There was a small chip in the windshield. They replaced it. One of the tires had sidewall damage. They replaced it. All at no cost. Just a pleasant easy experience. This dealer is doing it right.

Stay away from the service department. My vehicle has been serviced for battery issues. The technicians failed to check the battery each and every single time. The car was under warranty at the time and yet the battery was never fixed. I was told each time that the battery was fine. My vehicle is now out of warranty and my issue persists. My battery now needs to be replaced and they want $400+, mysteriously after the warranty is finished. My issue was never resolved and my vehicle still has issues, and the service department doesn't want to take accountability.

Dear Customer Relations/Management,
I am writing to formally report a very upsetting experience I had at your dealership on August 10, 2026, regarding my scheduled appointment at 12:30 PM.
My appointment was for an oil change and to have my vehicle inspected because I was also having concerns with the brakes. I wanted to make sure my vehicle was safe. I also asked whether rental vehicle services were available because I needed transportation while my vehicle was being serviced.
The advisor who assisted me identified himself as Berny, although I was not given his last name. From the beginning of our interaction, his attitude toward me was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.
I also requested assistance in Spanish for my husband. Berny made it clear that he did not want to speak Spanish. I explained that my husband was more comfortable communicating in Spanish. I found his response extremely disrespectful, especially because he had already been speaking with me. I felt that we were being treated differently because of the language we speak.
When I asked to speak with a manager, Berny told me that there was no manager available for the service department because they were in a meeting and could not help me. During the conversation, he became argumentative with me. He also made a statement along the lines of, “Do you want service, yes or no? If not, I will take the number they gave you away.”
At that point, my husband overheard the entire conversation because he was on speakerphone. Based on the way Berny was treating me, we no longer felt comfortable having him assist us with our vehicle. I was simply trying to get my vehicle inspected and serviced, yet the interaction became unnecessarily stressful and confrontational.
I then spoke with another employee and was informed that there was someone in Customer Relations named Angie. Angie was extremely helpful. She assisted me through the process and was able to get me a rental vehicle without any issue whatsoever. I want to specifically thank Angie for treating me with professionalism and helping resolve the situation.
This experience was very disappointing and stressful for me. I have purchased several vehicles and have never experienced this type of treatment before. I understand that employees may have difficult days, but the way Berny spoke to me and handled the situation was not acceptable.
I am asking that this incident be reviewed and that Berny’s conduct be addressed appropriately. If this is how he treats customers who are simply asking for assistance, I believe management needs to be aware of it.
I am not asking for special treatment. I expect to be treated with basic courtesy, respect, and professionalism, regardless of what language a customer or their family member speaks.
I appreciate Angie for helping me when I needed assistance, but I believe Berny’s behavior should be reported and investigated. I would also appreciate a response from management regarding how this complaint will be handled.
Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns.
Sincerely,
Dr.Liz Giron

Drove here from Long Beach to buy a car. Got a pretty good deal and overall satisfied. However, before we drove the car off the lot noticed there was a ding on the passenger side door and pointed it out. Was told they would send us the touch up paint. Well a month later and no touch up paint. Made phone calls to follow up and not one person has called me back. Yes, they will make a good deal to sell you a car, but anything after you drive off the lot good luck with that. I should have made them fix it before I left the lot. Won't be back for anything else. Warning: don't let them promise you anything after you drive off the lot, they won't come through.
8/20/2026 Updating my review because of the professional and courteous care Angie showed on getting my problem resolved. She remained in contact with me throughout and assured me at every step. This is the kind of care customers expect. I'm glad to say I am completely satisfied with Claremont Toyota. Thank you Angie!
