- NENick ErricoAug 26, 20261.0Avoid this place at all costs. This guy is a scam artist. I asked him to replace a converter in my travel trailer. He said it would cost $175 just to come out and check my existing converter. Seemed ridiculous, but I agreed. He came and told me what I already knew - that I needed a new converter. Then he said he'd order a new one for $350. He told me he only takes $40 profit on the part. After he left he sent me an invoice for $832. I looked up the part and ordered it for $130. Then I asked him to simply install the new converter that I ordered. He revised his invoice to $350 and said I owed that amount before he completed the work ($175 for service call and $175 for diagnostic work). The "service call" fee was supposed to include diagnostic. I refused and said I'd only pay after he completed the work. He said I owed him $350 for the work he already completed and an additional amount would be billed to me after he installed the part. I again refused so he threatened to come to home to "collect payment". I have a wife and kids and my wife was legitimately concerned at this point. She asked me to pay him to keep him away. So I did and got someone else to install the part. I asked him for a refund of the one hour labor and told him he can keep the $175 service call fee that we originally agreed to, but he predictably ghosted me after he received payment.
