No smog changes here. When I used Google maps to search for smog check stations locally, this one came up. I called and the people I spoke with took all of my information, scheduled. A smog check for my van, texted me confirmation. My last question was how long it might take. I was directed to another person who then told me they don't do smog checks at this location.... At all. Why does Google list their shop as a smog check location? He didn't know. Why did an employee just spend the last 10 minutes setting up a smog check appointment for me here then? He didn't know. I drove a few blocks to Chabot smog and got fast friendly service there instead.

Very friendly and knowledgeable people. Offered the best price on a set of tires. I left the car there while I went to work (wife drove), but coming home traffic was bad and I was running late. I called the shop and asked if I could come in the morning but the gentleman offered to stay after closing so I could get my car that night. This is the kind of service and commitment that is hard to find these days.

I discovered a significant sized nail in my front tire (driver's side) on a Friday at 4 PM. I made an appointment with Tire Choice and the lady I spoke to said that I was able to bring it in on the same day at 5 PM. I was thrilled and got there around 4:50 PM. The gentleman at the front told me that they were slammed and couldn't work on it today. I asked him why the lady gave me the appointment and he said the call center is actually in Costa Rica (*mind blown*) so they don't know what is happening in store. He told me next time press option 3 (check status) on the phone and not option 1 (make an appointment) and that I could bring the car in at 7:30 AM tomorrow (Saturday) and I said ok I will be back. Before I left I asked him if he could check my tire just to make sure it would be safe for me to continue driving. He asked me to pull the car around and after looking at it, he said he would have his technician take care of this right now (the technician was working on another car). I couldn't believe my ears. He said he didn't want the tire to be flat by the morning so that I couldn't drive back. In 20 minutes, the tire was patched and he sent me on my way. He told me no charge and that his name was Stephen. I was touched that a stranger chose to show me so much kindness and thoughtfulness when he was clearly slammed at work. I may have gotten teary eyed...and the fact that his name is Stephen was a sign because that was also my dad's name. There are so many times that I encounter situations that make me lose faith in humanity. Thank you Stephen/Steven for restoring my faith. I will definitely be recommending Tire Choice to everyone I know.

Steven at Tire Choice in Castro Valley is truly the best! He helped me last minute on a Sunday with new tires for my Tesla and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. He’s also helped me with my other car before, and every time he’s professional, hardworking, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Great customer service is hard to find, and Steven consistently delivers. Highly recommend asking for him!

Tire Choice Auto Service Centers provided us with friendly, excellent service. I have been there a couple of times in recent years to repair my tire puncture. They charged us very little, sometimes even without payment, and the results were reliable. Customer service was very helpful when I had a question. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tire repair and replacement!
