  I had a disappointing experience trying to open a nonprofit business rental account through this location. I reached out two months before our event because we needed to rent vans under our nonprofit account. The first person who did not handle my request properly was at this location. Instead of clearly explaining the process or directing me to the correct Southern California contact, I was told to reach out to Keith Gloriana, Global Sales CSR / Business Rental Development. Unfortunately, after that, the process was still not clearly explained. Keith also did not provide a clear timeline, next steps, or connect me with the appropriate Southern California person who could actually handle or move the request forward until it was too late and then stopped answering the emails when I asked for guidance. Because of the lack of communication and unclear instructions, it eventually became too late for us to use Enterprise for our event, even though I had reached out with plenty of time. We had to make other transportation arrangements. I understand that business or nonprofit account approvals may take time, but customers should be clearly informed about the process, who is responsible for the request, and what timeline to expect, especially when the rental is for a scheduled nonprofit event.

  Edit: I have unfortunately had to come back to this location for another rental...and was surprised to see much better service and availability of rental vehicles. Everything was quick and simple to get handled, and the vehicle I was offered was not in poor condition compared to the Mitsubishi I was forced to drive the first time I stopped by. I was told this was due to the brand of car having issues with the interior...not sure how much I believe that to be honest, but the fact that the staff was willing to go above and beyond for my second time renting made up for the first visit's issues. I will leave my original comments below as context for anyone still looking at this review in the future, but I would stop by this location again so long as the vehicles stay clean and if there are multiple options to choose from. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review: Pretty disappointing rental experience. Wanted to be generous and give a 3-star but its just not happening. The service was totally fine at face value, but the car that was rented to me smelled like cat litter and had some residue on the bqck seat. I let the agent know immediately and they drove over to spray some deodorizer which helped mitigate the smell for all but 10 minutes of driving after leaving. Had to spray the whole car with air freshener, stick another freshener bulb into the fan vent, and drive with the windows cracked just to get me through 2 days of driving. The option of getting another car was brought up abstractly, but I didn't see any others in the lot and I needed to get to work the next day. Car was in...decent shape, and drove totally fine. I would've preferred to have more options to choose from, and nothing was disclosed to me other than "your car is ready" without me even getting a choice. Having just returned a car to Hertz as well, I can tell that these rental car places care very little about presenting a clean vehicle to their customers. Maybe it's because I dealt with them through my insurance that I was treated to the "economy-class" experience, though I have pretty solid coverage through a well-known national provider. Likely won't be returning to this location, but with that being said you never know when you might need a rental car. Just be prepared to hold your nose closed and your wallet tightly shut before you stop by.
