I love getting rentals. Driving something different, trying new cars.... it's just fun. This was through my insurance, so not quite the financial hit as a regular rental experience. But.... as always a pleasant one due to going through Enterprise. I only use this company and it's because service is consistent with each location. Camarillo location was no different. First time here, but won't be the last. While I spoke with everyone there and received kind and helpful service, my main agent was Alex. He was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and professional. He paired me with a great car that was comparable to what I drive, (Rav4) while mine was in the shop. I really enjoyed driving the Mazda. It's nice when a company has a great option of different makes and models. I highly recommend Enterprise in Camarillo.

The manager of the Camarillo store (Christian) went above and beyond to help me. He was courteous, thorough, and caught a red flag before I even mentioned it (price jumped considerably from the start of booking through paying a few minutes later). I appreciated his kindness and professionalism. Rate and car were just what I needed. This is not my first time using the Camarillo location and I'm sure I'll be back.

What a complete waste of time. We reserved a truck this afternoon and were told it would be ready. So I left Thousand Oaks in bumper-to-bumper traffic headed to Camarillo to pick up a truck we had reserved. On the way there, I received a message saying the truck was no longer available, but they suggested I call in to see if they had any other car I could use. After more than 20 attempts to reach someone by phone, nobody answered. No voicemail. No way to get through to anyone. I then contacted the Thousand Oaks location while I was still in Camarillo. I was told, “Come on down, we have two trucks available — you can choose whichever one you want.” So I drove another 40 minutes back through traffic over the grade to Thousand Oaks, only to arrive and immediately be told those trucks were not available either and that they had nothing they could rent me. Meanwhile, calling the corporate office to “verify” availability was just as useless. Apparently they can make reservations but cannot actually confirm whether vehicles are physically available at the location. Camarillo told me they cannot contact Thousand Oaks because they are “independent stores,” and Thousand Oaks said the same about Camarillo. So nobody communicates with each other, yet customers are expected to waste hours driving around based on promises that turn out to be false. I run a business in Thousand Oaks, and we answer every call that comes through because we understand the blood, sweat, tears, and money it takes to make the phone ring. It’s obvious the people at these locations could care less about customers’ time. When I explained to the employee in Thousand Oaks that I had just spent 40 minutes driving back based on their promise, he simply walked away like it was no big deal and went back to playing video games. Shame on them for their poor business ethics, and shame on Enterprise for allowing customers to be treated this way. On A positive note, I stumblied upon Aves, they quickly picked up the phone, told me they had a truck we could use, verifed it was availbile, got there and within 15 min was on our way out with our rental. Maybe Enterprise should take notes on what means to offer great customer service !!!

The rental vehicle was not presented in acceptable condition. The exterior was dirty, and the windshield was covered with dead bugs. I also have a serious concern regarding how my feedback was handled. A family member of mine works at this location but, in accordance with company policy, had no involvement in my rental. I submitted my review regarding the associate who assisted me, yet the negative review was incorrectly attributed to my family member. As a result, he was reprimanded and lost a promotion opportunity due to an error that was not his responsibility. This matter requires immediate attention. Please have a member of your customer service team contact me as soon as possible to discuss this issue and the steps being taken to correct it. Frank V

Really frustrating experience with this Enterprise location. I came in to rent a car and was told everything was fine—just needed to grab my ID from home. I made it clear I’d be right back, and they acknowledged it. I returned at 5:31 PM—one minute after closing—and the doors were locked, no staff in sight. No effort to help, no communication, nothing. It’s pretty unacceptable to tell a customer to come back and then shut down knowing they’re on the way. That’s not just poor customer service—it’s a complete lack of basic professionalism. Definitely not the level of service I expected.
