  I recently rented at National Car Rental at the Burbank Bob Hope Airport and received truly exceptional service from an employee named Mari. Upon my arrival, Mari took the initiative to upgrade my reservation to a Land Rover Defender — one of my favorite vehicles — at no additional charge, in honor of my birthday. This was entirely unprompted and completely above and beyond what any customer would expect. It was a small gesture that made a significant impact. This is the kind of personalized, customer-first service that builds real brand loyalty. Mari demonstrated both professionalism and genuine warmth, and she deserves to be formally recognized by National’s leadership. I will be returning to this location specifically because of the experience she provided. Outstanding service, Mari — thank you.

  We had an awesome experience with our last rental at National in the Burbank Airport. We were heading to a wedding and could not find a car to fit all of our luggage. Luckily, Mari at National was there and she found us the perfect vehicle to get us on the road. We cannot thank her enough for the upgrade.

  Nearly every time I rent from this location, I have a positive experience, which is why I continue to come back. Most recently, the employee who assisted me—whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch—made the process especially smooth and efficient. That level of service makes a noticeable difference. One of the biggest strengths of the Burbank airport location is the consistent availability of luxury vehicles. I typically rent within that category, and having a solid selection is a key reason I choose this location. I also appreciate when my Executive Elite status is recognized, particularly when it results in the occasional upgrade—it adds real value to the experience. I’ve noticed a clear improvement in overall operations as well. The process feels more streamlined and organized than in the past, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. As the new Burbank terminals open, I hope this level of service and efficiency continues. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be ensuring more consistent recognition and personalization for loyalty members, as that can further elevate the experience.
