I originally contacted 1010 Performance because I was looking for a shop that really specializes in the S55 crank hub job. After talking with them and finding out they had already done over 300 crank hub installs, I felt confident enough to make the trip all the way from San Jose to Brea and stay overnight just to have the work done here. It was 100% worth the trip. From the beginning, they were extremely professional, friendly, and most importantly, they did exactly what they said they would do. They kept the appointment time, finished the work as promised, and throughout the entire job they texted me pictures and updates so I could actually see what was being done to my car. I’ve been to plenty of shops over the years, and I’ve never had this level of communication and transparency. They also pointed out a few things that made sense to take care of while everything was already apart, instead of trying to sell me a bunch of unnecessary work. I really appreciated that because it saved me from paying the same labor again later. What impressed me even more was how they treated my car. When I picked it up, they had cleaned up the engine bay, and they even cleaned up some coffee that I had accidentally spilled outside the car. That had absolutely nothing to do with the work I brought the car in for. It’s a small thing, but it tells you a lot about how they treat a customer’s car. I honestly don’t remember ever meeting a mechanic who took this much care with my car as if it were his own. I drove a long way for this shop, and after this experience I’ll gladly do it again. I already have a few other things I want done, and even though they’re far from me, I plan on coming back. For any major maintenance, performance work, or tuning that I don’t want to take chances with, this is where I’m bringing my car from now on. I would recommend 1010 Performance to any of my friends or anyone I know who cares about their car. Great work, great communication, and genuinely great people. Thank you Eric and the 1010 Performance team for taking such good care of my M4. You guys earned a customer for life.
