  I brought my beloved old truck in to figure out why it wouldn’t start, the very professional mechanics were able to find it quickly and cost-effectively. Glad the old man’s back on the road.

  BE CAUTIOUS ! They can overcharge, so do your research. Recently had to do alternator and power steering pump, alternator quoted around $800 and power steering pump quoted around $700. Bought the parts and was able to do it myself, parts were about $150 each. Did the power steering pump with my friend in 45 minutes in the dark with standard tools, so even charging $200 for an hour of labor, it should be around $350 AND that’s with them professional tools and mechanics. THEN an easily accessible on the top of my car screw needs to be replaced because the top of it broke, off and for that they quoted me at $400 because it’s TWO hours of labor. At this point it’s not even mechanic work but just replacing a broken screw. Beware of price gouging!

  I had been through 6-1/2 months of hell trying to get clear answers and corrective repair to be able to get my car smogged. I am so thankful I finally made it to Ray-A-Motive. Their shop is large and clean, and they are a professional business with people who take great care in doing the right thing and educating their customers (I needed that). My dealings were primarily with Josh and Jake, both over the phone and in person, and I was incredibly relieved to have an answer, an estimate, then the work done all within 4 hours of the drop-off. I have already recommended them to my landlord and will to my other friends, as well. You will be treated kindly and you won't have to worry about spending $1,700 on a car repair that doesn't even need to be done (as I was with another mechanic). Their honesty and integrity speaks for itself. I am so appreciative I have a shop to return to for all my car's needs.
