  On Friday, 05/15,/26, my father and I drove from Riverside to Hardin to look at a 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate that was advertised on the dealership's website. Before making the drive, I specifically called to confirm the vehicle was still available and to verify the advertised pricing. Joseph assisted me over the phone, was polite, and even offered to send a video of the truck. We agreed on a time to visit, and the vehicle was ready when we arrived. After my father test drove the truck, he decided he was ready to purchase it. However, once we began discussing numbers, the dealership informed us that in order to receive the advertised price, we would be required to purchase several mandatory "add-ons" that had allegedly been installed on the vehicle. They provided us with a written breakdown listing each add-on and its individual cost. This is deeply concerning because California law and federal consumer protection regulations prohibit deceptive advertising practices, including advertising a vehicle at one price and then conditioning the sale on mandatory undisclosed charges or dealer-installed products that were not clearly included in the advertised price. Several of the items they attempted to charge for were already standard manufacturer-included features that are publicly listed in the vehicle specifications online. The dealership's conduct appeared to be a classic "bait-and-switch" pricing tactic designed to lure consumers in with one advertised price and then inflate the final sale price through forced add-ons and misleading representations. Consumers should not be pressured into paying thousands of dollars above an advertised price after traveling long distances in reliance on that advertisement. I made it very clear to the sales representative that I was aware of my rights under California consumer protection laws and FTC regulations. I also documented everything and took photographs of the written breakdown on dealership letterhead, including the manager's handwritten notes detailing the mandatory charges they claimed we would be obligated to pay in order to purchase the vehicle. I have since filed formal complaints with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the California Attorney General's Office for deceptive advertising and unfair business practices. Dealers should be transparent and honest with consumers instead of attempting to exploit them through misleading pricing tactics. I strongly encourage anyone considering doing business with this dealership to carefully review all pricing details in writing before making the trip

  Came to Hardin Buick after searching for a couple days online. If you need a new car, go see Woody at Hardin. Woody went above and beyond to help me get into the vehicle I wanted after a car accident and total loss of my last car. He is extremely knowledgable, listened to what I was looking for, and never made me feel rushed. Thank you Woody for turning an otherwise difficult process into something great. He took care of everything for me and I am very grateful. 10 stars!

  They did not solve the problem with my truck when I picked it up. I realized they had torn the front seat. Still waiting to hear what they’re going to do about it. at which time I will take it back in to see if they can solve the other issues I had with it. I’ll keep you posted.

  Hardin GMC is the most efficient and competent dealer I have experienced since I bought my new 2002 Sierra Denali and over the years, I have been to several dealers for scheduled service work. Most importantly, Sean Eddleman is an outstanding Service Consultant who is highly professional and dedicated to doing the job with perfection. Hardin GMC is very fortunate to have Sean Eddleman on their service team and Sean should be recognized and rewarded for adding great value to Hardin GMC.
