  We rented a vehicle about a month and half ago and they were amazing to work. Larry helped us at the desk and he went above and beyond, he was very personable and professional.. The car detailers did an amazing job as well! Thanks Alamo

  I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my family's recent rental experience with Alamo Rent A Car. On July 19, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., my family rented a Jeep Cherokee from the Alamo location at 711 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA 92802. We expected to receive a safe, reliable, and properly maintained vehicle for our trip. At approximately 2:30 p.m., after stopping at a rest area roughly 50 minutes outside of Palm Springs to use the restroom, the vehicle would not start. The vehicle had been operating normally prior to the stop, and there was nothing that would have caused the failure. We immediately contacted Alamo for roadside assistance and were advised that AAA would arrive in approximately 1.5 hours. AAA did not arrive until approximately 4:44 p.m. After spending nearly one hour diagnosing the vehicle, the technician determined that the vehicle could not be repaired roadside. We were then informed that a tow truck would take approximately another hour to arrive and they would arrange transportation for us. The tow truck never came. The taxi, uber and lyft never came. Alamo continued to tell us no one was able to pick my family out and left us stranded in the desert. During this entire ordeal, we made countless phone calls to Alamo attempting to find a solution. Unfortunately, there was no meaningful assistance or alternative transportation provided while my family remained stranded in the desert. The most concerning aspect of this experience was the lack of urgency given the conditions. My family, including our children, was stranded for 7 hours in extreme desert heat with. We were finally able to contact a taxi on our own to bring us back to Palm Springs. ALAMO LEFT MY FAMILY STRANDED IN THE DESERT FOR 7 HOURS WITH ZERO SOLUTION AFTER PROVIDING US A FAULTY VEHICLE

  The app allowed us to reserve/book a car rental for 12:30pm the night before. We walked almost a mile to this location only to find out they close at 12pm on Sundays. A very busy location next to Disney California Adventure park and they close early. A couple other people walked up to the location at the same time with the same issue. Because of this, I would not recommend renting vehicles through Alamo especially on a weekend. 👎👎👎👎

  I am in Anaheim often for work and usually rent a car at Alamo. I‘ve never had any unsatisfactory experiences and staff is always friendly!
